This wal mart is nothing to write home about. It's always packed. Overcrowded. Parking lot setup is terrible. And half the time if I ask an employee something they barely speak English. Long lines at the checkout. And wait forever unless you go to self checkout it makes the process go quicker. I try to avoid this Walmart. I'd rather go out of town to go to walmart. I hear horror stories about this place on black Friday. I refuse to go to this wal mart that day. I go to the one in new Milford if I go on black Friday.

They should change their name to ChinaMart!!!! Next time you have to shop here, just check the items you put in your cart and see where they're made... It also feels like I am in South America, as most speak Spanish and have no clue what they are doing or where anything is in the store... Support this country, NOT CHINA and shop your local mom & pop stores!!!

There is a young man who rings people out in the nursery and he's GREAT. He has a terrific attitude , he's friendly and he tries so hard to help people. Kudos !

A few years ago you could go to walmart and you never expected amazing service or high quality products. You COULD expect to have a cashier ring you out, and you got actual plastic bags that were big enough to use. I went to check out today and they had several lines SEVEN people long with like 3 cashiers total. Walmart expects you to just use the self checkout. As if that was not bad enough the plastic bags they now provide are TINY. I could barely fit 2 pairs of sweatpants into one of their bags. What sort of joke is this? The parking is also horrific at this place. Oh and I forgot to mention, they have someone sometimes randomly checking your purchases as you leave to make sure you are not stealing. BS! Of course I will continue to shop here because Walmart holds a monopoly through corporatism. What else can you do?

Tip: Walmart only takes passport photos. I went to the Walmart looking for quick portraits for work. Walk up to the photo section open from 9am to 9 pm , and waited for an associate. After waiting a few minutes my friend went to find someone to help us, we were then told she would be ready in 10 minutes only to find out you Can only print and take passport photos. Too bad :( i did end up finding a really cute swimsuit so not a complete waste of a trip !

Worst customer assistance ever! I'd rather spend a few more dollars and go to Target.

My local Walmart. The reason for only two stars is that the prices are reasonable but the customer service isn't great. I was innself check out and there was an error and an employee by the name of Ryan came to help me but didn't say a word to me as to what the problem was. Then he walks away tontalk to another employee who I believe was a manager but still no response to what is going on. Now I'm standing there waiting for some type of answer but Ryan went back to what he was doing and left me standing there with no answer or anything explaining what happening. Now Margret the servude supervisor comes over and starts to fix the problem, but still nothing was said or explained as to what was the issue. I continue to stand there waiting for an explanation but all she was looking to do was to resolve the problem rather then to provide information as to what is going. Now she states to Ryan that she is going to call service and leaves. Ryan then turns to me and let's me know that give it about 5 to 10mins for someone else to come. Now I know the prices are good and some may think this to be petty but I'm spending my here and my experience should be nothing less then how Walmart is advertised.

Don't try to use the bathroom here at 6:58AM (two minutes before they open) or some bitchy lady with a shred of authority will give you a crabby, nasty hard time.

Ordered a salad bowl on line to save time. Went to pick it up and the pick up counter is as far away from the door as you can get and still be in the store. Set up so that you have to walk the entire store and maybe buy something. So I did a little shopping, (even though I knew I was clearly being played.) Got to the pick up counter and no one was there. Pressed the button to call an associate, waited five minutes. When no one appeared after five minutes I left. They had gotten enough of my time. Compare that to Target pick up. Walk in, go to your left, someone is there. Walmart probably has the lowest prices. But if you compare them to Target, who respect my time, you're saving pennies on an item.

I've been to a few good Walmarts and a lot of bad ones - this one is actually ok. Firstly, whether you like Walmart or not, they have usually good prices on most items that will be priced higher elsewhere. It's this one constant which compels me to keep going or trying Walmarts - the prices. Nice lure for sure obviously, but to save a few bucks on just simple hygiene products (for example) is worth the trip and often the aggravation. Like most other locations, this one is stocked the same and the basic store layout here is like most others. If you frequent Walmart in general, you'd know where to find most items. This location does have the grocery/produce - though due to the lines, I'd get that last unless you want your frozen peas to be already thawed by the time they're rung out. The employees seemed ok here. I had very little interaction, but they didn't seem as miserable as most I've seen and they appeared to be actually working - which can't be said for locations closest to me. The cashier was quick, efficient, and friendly. There was actually more than 2 registers open for the time I went - though it was a weekend this time. They also have the scan it yourself registers, but they don't have an IQ requirement for it sadly. There is an employee there to help, but some customers just need to avoid trying to do it themselves when they can't even manage a shopping cart. Speaking of, expect the best of the worst here as far as customers go. Walmart does seem to attract the strangest, smelliest, rudest, dumbest, most oblivious, sloppiest, zombie-like customers above any other chain store that I've seen. I guess for the business that's great, but for a normal customer like myself it's annoying. So bring that bottle of patience with you when inside not only this location, but all Walmarts. A bottle of sanitizer and maybe breathing through your mouth are other good defenses. This Walmart shares the parking lot with several other businesses and the lot during a busy time can be a mess. It's not the best structured parking lot, so use caution. Most of the mess is in the front parts, so if you want to avoid that or don't mind walking a few extra feet (like me), there's plenty of spots in the far end. All in all a typical Walmart - just one that's not as bad as most of it's sister stores. With all due respect, when people say things like this Walmart is the worst or one of the worst - it's certainly not true in my opinion. I've been to some absolutely putrid, stomach churning locations in several different states and this one is not at all as bad as they are.

Came here to find an ugly Christmas sweater and they had one with lights and one with music, lol~! Wish they had one with both the lights and music! The staff was helpful, and the shopping was painless. As I rule I don't like Walmart because I believe the staff should be better paid and less exploited. Also, I wish they had a system to be able to locate items in a store, which they don't seem to be able to do. And in a pinch, it might be most efficient to just order the item online and have it delivered. But because this store was crowded and I believe it seems to serve a community need for an area like danbury, I am giving it 4 stars.

Went to Walmart last night with a friend and had a truly wonderful experience. The men in the pick up area were delightful and helped us receive, load and check out our new tv. Can't wait for our next Walmart moment.
