About Darien Nature Center

The Darien Nature Center is located in the heart of Darien’s Cherry Lawn Park. We inspire passion and respect for the natural world through nature education, hands-on experiences with nature, and environmental action and stewardship. Built by our generous supporters, the Nature Center is open daily to the public who come to visit our 22 species of animals and hike the trails. Our preschool utilizes our newly created outdoor classrooms and classes enjoy exploring the fields, trails, and the pond.

    My grandson JJ loves the Darien nature enter and know all the names of the animals there. Actually he knows the names of almost every animal everywhere. He even knows anteaterand a gazillion others.

    We love the nature center! It's always clean and the staff is just wonderful. Kids love it.

    Fabulous nature center and preschool! Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area!
