I came here on a guest. Thought it would be a good play date place, first start kids can’t eat bye the pool, why is this even an issue? Even if they are hungry what am I supposed to do, everyone eats by the pool at home pools. Second they claim the water is so pure it’s not even as clean as it appears. Place is a web of lies made by a spider

I absolutely love it. Its facilities are good. I would say the towels need ti be bigger!! Also the floors in the sauna/ shower area are slimy but I guess one wears slippers.

First timer using the free consecutive 5 day pass. Great atmosphere. Wasn’t very crowded. Will most likely get a membership.

The location is well managed, well lit and overall a positive uplifting ambience. I would like to see their machines software upgraded so the workout history works well and is an accurate reflection. It is not functional for the past 2 months.

I visited the YMCA today because I called and was asking about getting a 50m swim test done here. We were told to come in and make an appointment. Patrick, who works at the front desk, was extremely helpful and spent a good amount of time getting us to where we needed to go for a swim test. We were there to make an appointment but he called up Henk to ask if he could help us with this process. Henk was so friendly and helpful as well. Instead of making an appointment for another day, they asked if we had our swim clothes with us (thank goodness I prepared myself just in case) and had us do the swim test right then and there. Henk emailed us the letter with his signature a few hours after we completed the test. We were not charged anything for using the facilities and getting a test done. This was by far the best experience and the staff were so accommodating to us. I've been calling and emailing the Stamford YMCA for the same test and it was not as consistent as Darien (it took two weeks, two calls, and numerous emails to get help from them). Darien was extremely helpful and we are so appreciative of the staff there! Patrick is new to the YMCA but he was amazing. We greatly appreciate his help in contacting Henk for us. Henk's last day is Thursday so we came at the best time. He was incredibly friendly and excited for us as to why we needed this swim test. The facilities were amazing and the decor was beautiful. This was probably the nicest YMCA I've ever been to. Thank you Darien YMCA!! You really helped us with this!!

What a drastic difference between the Darien and Stamford YMCA. I have been attending the Stamford location for a year. When they were closed for renovations, I went to the Darien location for a week. It was cleaner, more spacious, offered more pilates and yoga classes, and even free towel service. The downside is it is an older crowd(retirees) with less diversity.Clearly a class and diversity difference between towns and it shows in the amenities.for the young women 18-40, be careful of the granddads checking you out while you are doing your workouts.

THE WORST YMCA IN CONNECTICUT. I VISITED THE GYM . AND THEY SAID I HAVE TO PAY BECAUSE THEY DONT GIVE A FREE WEEK PASS. NOW WHY WOULD I PAY. IF I CANT TRY OUT THE GYM TO MAKE SURE ITS FOR ME. PLUS THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT IS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I DON'T KNOW HOW PEOPLE GET JOBS WITH DIRTY ATTITUDES. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.
