I cannot say enough great things about House of Needlepoint. They made me feel welcome from day one of starting up this new hobby AND I greatly appreciate the COVID precautions they are taking. I worried I'd feel intimidated, but I'm so, so glad this is the shop I went to. Amazing selection and every time I'm in there I have the nicest chats with the associates.

10/10 - Great group of women running this store. Beautiful selection of fibers and canvases. Really respected their COVID protocol and felt safe inside. Love shopping local!

Kindness, knowledge, intelligence. If these are things you seek in your small business shopping experience, the House of Needlepoint is your “go to”. The staff is knowledgeable about their craft, but also patient with their customers. Needlepointing is a passion to most of us that shop there and they share that love for it. During non-covid times, you can always find a seat at their table and learn a new stitch or just work on a project. After all, it’s known to its customers as “The Happy Place”.

If you like rude, unfriendly customer service, this is the place for you. We’ll be heading to the Village Ewe in Old Greenwich from now on.

Customer service at this store is consistently rude and unhelpful. I won't be shopping here again. Highly recommend checking out the other local needlepoint stores - they have MUCH better customer service and take the time to develop relationships with customers. After all, this is a personal craft, and an expensive one!

The custom service was absolutely terrible. The woman that worked at the store yelled at my friends and I for not wearing a mask OUTSIDE! Inside is a different story but outside that was my choice. I am very upset with this also because the lady added some very rude comments. Also we weren’t even going into the shop in the first place. We were waiting for someone in another shop. Very upset. Never going here again.

HON (House of Needlepoint) is my favorite LNS (local needlepoint store). Heading into HON is like walking into Cheers. Mabel and crew are always welcoming and so helpful. There's always a table in front with gals stitching, laughing and chatting and you are welcome to sit and stitch whether you know them or they are all strangers. However they won't be strangers for long!! I happily give 5 stars but would easily give ten times as many! Pamela

This is an amazing shop! I've have so enjoyed going in and learning more about needlepoint. Mabel is so knowledgeable and she helped me arrange my thoughts and spent so much time identifying a theme for my projects. HON was definitely a wonderful find!

*The only reason my rating is 4 stars is because I haven't actually done needlepoint here. I walked into House of Needlepoint this afternoon with an odd request about where to find embroidery and stamped cross-stitch kits. While I did not purchase anything, I was amazed at the attention, assistance, and information the owners and their sewing circle provided. I walked out of the store with three websites I could visit to find what I was looking for, and the actual names of the things I needed to complete the project. I just placed my order for exactly what I was looking for- which would not have been possible without their help! My kudos and thanks to the House of Needlepoint!

Hi love, love, love the girls at House of Needlepoint. They know their stuff and are wonderful with getting orders filled promptly. A nice friendly atmosphere with good canvases. Would love more fibers but no complaints.

It is an awesome store with a fabulous selection of canvases and fibers. It can get busy, but if you are patient, it is well worth the trip. They offer classes to learn new stitches and will always help you plan a project. Their prices are reasonable and their finishing costs are significantly better than their competition in Old Greenwich. If you are a real stitcher, it is a must go!

I had a worker in there tell me that she would help me "if she wasn't busy" and there was only one other person in the store. Then I asked her how much something was and she told me it was too expensive for me. Excuse me? I was about to spend a lot of money there, but I thought the staff person (super tall with shoulder length blonde hair) was so rude. She also kept giving my son dirty looks and he wasn't misbehaving at all. He was standing there quietly like a statue. So that I really didn't appreciate- you might as well have just put up a sign that says "no children or pets allowed"
