Checkers Food Store & Deli is a 24-hour spot known as a great and most reliable late-night food place in town. The food is top notch and absolutely delicious, with crispy, juicy buffalo wings cooked to perfection and the best tasting sandwiches. The grill is on all night for whatever you want. It is recommended to specify exactly how you want items cooked. The staff and store clerks are super friendly, pleasant, kind, and do an excellent job, handling special requests with a smile. While the location can get a feisty crowd and the place has an oily smell, it remains a highly recommended store with almost everything you may need.
Checkers is a well-stocked convenience store. What separates it from others is the grill. The lady who works it is a god sent. From awesome breakfast sandwiches to mind-blowing steak and cheese bombs . The staff are extremely kind and patient .

My young boy dashed out last night & picked up several family favorites with his older sis , omg they were so good & fresh , I’m 59 and don’t really do sandwiches regularly being retired but I’m craving a couple of those now . For a Hispanic themed delicatessen in the middle of a relatively dying city, Checkers stands out to be the jewel of the nile when it comes to a quick bite. Really good sandwiches, burgers, apps and ethnic quick serve food.
