I'm very pleased with the installation from Green Power Energy ( GPE ). From sales ( Steve McHale ) to field installation management ( Darryl Hooks ) everyone at GPE was 100% committed to ensuring a successful solar panel installation at my home. After all necessary town approvals were granted, the installers arrived at my home on a Friday and installed the solar panels ( 19 panels ). The following week took two partial days of wiring the panels to the Enphase combiner box along with other miscellaneous items. GPE worked within my vacation schedule and were able to conclude some final items while I was away on vacation. Since installation ( and sunny days ) the panels are generating daily net positive power. Thank you GPE for a
successful installation and a satisfied customer.

I contacted Green Power Energy last year to check out solar companies. I compared 6 companies, large and small. Steve, my GPE contact was very helpful, patient and provided me accurate information to make a decision. GPE offers the best value solar system out there. They have one of best warranties and their dedicated workforce is high quality and customer focused one. They installed my system in a day. They accurately assessed my house for solar as 4 other companies did not. If you live in CT, you need to contact them for a quote.

I couldn’t be more pleased with Green Power Energy. So far the solar system they designed and installed has been working splendidly. Unlike many solar companies I was not subjected to a long canned marketing meeting but spoke on the phone to Sonny LaBrunda who guided me smoothly through the design and contracting process. They keep me up to date on the progress they made implementing agreements with my electric provider and local town agencies. The whole process couldn’t’t have been easier. And their price was the lowest of the quotes I received (I went through
Energy Sage to get my quotes).

I did research several companies and got many quotes and they had the best pricing and also one of the best company backgrounds and reviews. Once all the permits and everything was approved by the electric company, delivery of the supplies and installation happened within a day or two. They were very fast and efficient.

Excellent company that employs professionals. First time solar customer and I have to say GPE from start to finish made my solar experience transition practically flawless. Matt has been readily available to answer any questions I would have and he replied very quickly. If he didn’t know the answer he’d refer me to the right person. The install crew was efficient, professional and quite honestly I didn’t even notice they were installing my panels until they were actually done. Aiden is the perfect person to conduct the post install Google Meet, meeting and answers all questions and concerns the new solar customer may have! Thank you GPE!

Starting with the sales presentation, our interactions with Green Power Energy were relaxed and hype-free. No pressure sales tactics, just factual information about a product we were already interested in. While Green Power Energy's quote wasn't the lowest price we were quoted (we got quotes from multiple companies), they came in below the median price quote, and we chose Green Power Energy because we felt confident that their customer service would be better than other companies because they have dedicated teams of installers (actual employees, rather than contractors and sub-contractors) working in each of the states they operate in. This was well worth the only slightly higher cost over their cheapest competitor.
When it was time for our installation, we got confirmation that we made the right choice by choosing Green Power Energy. Their excellent customer service resulted in an exceptionally smooth installation process! One thing that impressed us most was that one of their electricians, whose job is to make sure installations are ready for inspection, came by a day before the scheduled town inspection and identified a few things he wanted to change to assure passing the inspection. Then he then showed up early on the day of the inspection to make those changes (including changing the ground wire on our electrical panel from aluminum to copper, so it was the same material as the ground wire for the solar system), and also had materials with him to make any other quick changes the inspector wanted while the inspector was still here. We were very happy to have the system pass inspection on the first try, without having to schedule a second inspection appointment. We definitely appreciated how thorough Green Power Energy's process was.
Green Power Energy customer service also provided us with a post-installation consultation to make sure we understood how the system monitoring app works and answered questions we had about understanding how the credits showing up on our electric bill work.
Overall, we are very happy we went with Green Power Energy for our solar system, and we highly recommend them as a reliable solar company with exceptional customer service!

Green Power Energy was great to work with from initial contact through installation and beyond. They were easy to communicate with, answered questions in a timely manner, professional and proficient in the technical aspects of solar installation. They have also been diligent in following up with me after installation of my system. Highly recommend.

Green Power Energy has been an awesome partner and advisor when it comes to residential solar. My rep, Matt Greatsinger was and still is super responsive. I got my quotes in January, had my survey in Feb, was installed early March and had PTO by the end of the month. Throughout the process, everyone from GPE was focused on ensuring we had the right solution, that all the legal and paperwork with the utility were handled, and they even sent multiple electricians out to check and double check everything.
I am extremely pleased and willing to be a reference.

I contracted with green power energy to install my solar system and I had some very specific requirements because I am a ham radio operator and have noise concerns from solar panels and solar inverters. I spoke to them about it and they agreed to follow the requirements that I set which were grounding bonding and shielding of the Active Components.
They did a great job and followed the design that I had given them and to date I have had no noise generated by the panels or by the electronics associated with them. Be aware that you have to explain very carefully what you want because that's not the normal install procedure.
If you have a requirement such as I did for very low noise then you plan carefully how you will install and run the wires and shield the components. Additionally I have a whole house lightning protection system here and I require that the system be integrated with the lightning rods and grounds. They did do that and even though I've had two lightning strikes since the install nothing has been damaged.
Good luck with your install! Since the day it has been installed I have never paid another electric bill and my electric bills were in the $400 per month range from eversource here in Connecticut.

Communicated the process of going solar completely and did everything exactly like they stated. No surprises and the system is working just like they said it would. Very happy with the entire company from the salesman to the installers. Also had one of the better prices.

Highly recommend! with getting solar panels, it pretty much comes downs to the installation process. Its hard to find a bad review for GPE's installation crews, compared to the other big chain companies. That's what sold it for me and I couldn't be happier!

My experience with Green Power Energy was first rate. I had evaluated a number of residential solar companies before choosing Green Power and they did not disappoint. From the evaluation process through the installation, everyone was responsive and professional. Trevor, was both patient and knowledgeable during the home evaluation process and worked with me to understand the process. Stephen in sales worked with me to make sure the configuration was exactly as we wanted it to be and walked me through the various stages of implementation. I also liked how responsive Green Power was to my ask for existing customer references who were able to give me confidence that picking Green Power was the right choice. Even when issues occurred, they were always willing to make things right. Five stars!

Their telemarketer caller began the phone call calling me beautiful while greeting me. When I asked him to repeat what he said, he wouldn't repeat it, and claimed he was talking to someone. I told him to stop calling me because I already have solar, & if they called again I would file a complaint. He said he would call me later on his personal phone. In addition to the harassment of telemarketing, I find this to be personal harassment and stalking through the contact information he has on me. Not only very unprofessional, but potentially criminal and I would never do business with this company or recommend anyone else to even contemplate it.
