There are 8 people working only one person helping 9 people in line . Made eye contact with three other workers no one said hi no one helped this lady out . Thankful for that one worker who helped. For everyone else that's so shameful!!! One other worker was literally sitting laughing about the line !! Horrible customer service

I have a savings account with Wells Fargo bank and am a traveling nurse. There are no branches in the state of Rhode Island. I called to withdraw some money and was told they did not have any way to send me a cashiers or bank check from my account. It was a large sum of money for house repairs. Since it was a savings account and really thought Id not need to use the money there were no checks attached to account. Therefore if I didn't have anybody with an account willing to have money deposited to their account and then write me a check I have no access to the money except to travel to another state, get checks and then have access my account. In the many days and perhaps weeks that will take they have access to my money to use for loans to big business or what ever they do with the money. They make more off it than the paltry 1% they are paying me. I will find another bank but will probably ra--ed there also.

One star only, Only because someone made an effort to call me back. I called them because someone stole my identity had a bunch of checks written with my name on them as well as there's. The account exists, my name isn't on the account just the checks they ordered planning on nailing me for fraudulent checks, charges and anything else this person could do. Wells Fargo's reaction: "Just don't write on any of the checks!" I got more help from the police department, check company and post office! It's clear Wells Fargo enjoys ruining people's lives. Never will recommend this bank to anyone, ever. Heard this isn't the first time this bank behaves like this.

OK. The staff is not always quick or knowledgeable about services. If you are looking for special services like mortgage, different money markets, loans, ask to speak with someone other than your teller.

Background info which might help you understand this five star review: 1. I actually DID chose to bank with Wells Fargo, I've had an account for the last three or four years, and have never had any problems with their policies 2. I've just moved from Southern California to Massachusetts. 3. THIS branch suddenly became my closest bank branch Since we live in the digital age, and I virtually never go to the bank, I figured my spouse and I could keep our Wells Fargo accounts with no problem. Then we went to buy a car, and we needed to transfer a four-figure chunk of change to a local auto broker. We hit a massive, seemingly insurmountable wall. Because of all those Nigerian princes scamming people out of their money, you pretty much can't do a simple, same-day type transfer of funds directly from you to someone else, unless its for a very trivial amount of money. In order to protect you from yourself, banks and Western Union make you set up complex accounts, fill out tons of paperwork, and wait a long time. The car we selected had multiple people interested in buying it, so we needed to be able to free up the money quickly... so we needed to go into the bank and get a cashier's check, as if it is still 1983. We grudgingly got back into the car, and drove the 2.5 hours to the nearest Wells Fargo. Mind you, we'd been in Mass for about five days at this point, after our ten day drive from California. We like the car, and hanging out together, but we were not excited. Luckily, the staff at this branch was incredibly nice to us, and helped us clear out our two checking accounts as well as our three savings accounts. This was a lot of transactions of various types for them, as I'm sure you can imagine, and it's definitely not the most interesting way to spend an afternoon in Connecticut, but it had to be done, and they made it a breeze. I can only hope our new bank, Citizens, takes as good of care of us as Wells Fargo did. They didn't give me a stuffed pony when I opened my account, so I don't think it'll be as good an experience as WF was! ;-)

I had a bank account with Wachovia since I was in high school in the early 1990s. My wallet was stolen this past summer, and that was around the time Wachovia was taken over by Wells Fargo. I had to go into the branch to arrange for new debit cards, a new checkbook, etc, (since my checkbook was also in my wallet). The man assisting me with all of this was very rude. I had to use my passport as ID because I had not yet gotten my new license, and when he left the room to have the teller set up my new account, he took it with him. When he came back, I asked for the passport back. He said, "You are so paranoid!" and tossed it across the desk. Hello? My entire wallet was just stolen! I'm not being paranoid, I'm making sure I don't lose my remaining piece of ID! He also started asking me questions about my mortgage, whether I own or rent my home (then said, "Oh, you rent") before waiting for my answer. I asked him why he wanted all of this information and he said, "Wells Fargo needs to know." I said, "I'll tell you if you can tell me why they need to know." He said, "They need to know so that they can help you." I said, "Help me with what?" He said, again, that I was paranoid. If I was a man, there is no way he would have spoken to me that way. He then informed me that my checking account, which had been absolutely free since 1994, would no longer be free. I protested and he said, "Nobody gives free checking accounts anymore." Three days later I closed that account and opened a new one at Liberty Bank. It's free.
