One is an understatement. We should be able to give negative stars. This whole system of checking in on computer and having the check in booth closed off is literally the worst idea anyone ever came up with. Talk about unprofessional and impersonal. We need real people, not computers...and when you do find the real people, find ones that aren't rude and inconsiderate. They never have enough room to take extra people but the whole waiting room can hear them in the back laughing and joking and having a blast, while 10 people sit in the room and listen to it. The whole set up is just simply unprofessional. (Edit: after leaving this review I noticed that there's several others that say the same thing I am, yet you are not listening to your customers and making the appropiate changes. What a shame!)

If I could give zero stars I would. I had an appointment and when I showed up you need to use a kiosk to check in. I don't have an insurance card but I have my client I'd number written down which has always worked for any kind of appointment I've had everywhere else. There os no one who can help you. While sitting in the filthy waiting room for about 25 minutes I kept being ignored when I was trying to get assistance checking in for my appointment. I also learned that their bathroom has been broken for months and the poor woman I was sitting next to was telling me she's going to have to walk across the street to the grocery store to use their restroom to give a urine sample. The health dept should shut them down.

If I could give this zero stars I would. Usually when I go to quest, they are wonderful. The woman who I saw today (I’m not sure of her name) she has a shaved head and was wearing a mask. She first said in front of everyone in the waiting room “did you not hear me call your name?!?” In front of everyone and I told her I didn’t hear her. (They usually say first name due to hipaa but she mispronounced my last name so I assumed she was calling someone else). So I’m thinking, whatever, some providers have bad bedside manner. But then I go in to the treatment room and she was still upset and barely felt for a vein and jabs me hard, while she keeps saying “open your fist!” “CLOSE your fist!” Then goes “did you NOT drink water?!” I assured her I drank 30 ounces before coming. Then a minute goes by and I think it’s over and I’m in a lot of pain and there’s blood all on my arm… but no she goes straight for the other arm without telling me what she was doing. I sit there in disbelief, fearful of saying anything as the woman was irate. I have pictures of all of the blood and intense swelling and bruising on the arm. Imagine she did this to an older person with more fragile veins?! I will not be coming back here.

Quest needs to properly staff this facility. I made an appointment a week ago and still had to wait a half hour, plus the bathroom was "out of order", so I came back today to drop off my urine sample, which was another 15-minute wait, and the bathroom was still "out of order". They need a person as a receptionist, rather than a computer that most of the older patients appear to struggle with, and there should be enough people on staff to take care of the often full waiting room. Someone needs to figure out what's going on with the bathroom in a facility that is frequented for urinalysis too. From what I understand, it's been "out of order" for months. I wonder where the employees relieve themselves... I do not blame the employees here and did not experience a problem with them, but Quest can afford to properly staff its facilities with the amount of money made on the analysis of every sample.

Closed before closing time, bathroom out of service. So if you need to do a urine sample go somewhere else. Brought my sample back before closing but they shut everything down early. Tech has no customer service skills. If the system puts someone at standby, why are you being rude about it because you want to get out of work on time smh. Drawing stations was very unkeep and messy because your rushing! Won’t return here ever.

The service at this location was professional, timely, and helpful -- but these humans were tired. Exhausted from having to explain other operational problems. It made sense -- the bathroom was out of order. I had to find an entirely separate public bathroom for my urinalysis...Kinda feels like the sort of thing that should shut down a testing facility. Not going back here again.

If I could give less than one star I would. 45 minutes...two arms black and blue...some tests ordered by Dr. not done!!! New to area, but not to Quest. Next time I will drive out of my way to avoid East Haven quest.

It was my favorite Quest to go to because of the convenient location. Unfortunately, they only see patients with prior appointments. My favorite blood drawer is Kasey. She is sweet and funny! The real reason for this review is the way a family ahead of me (and myself were treated). The old lady who came outside asked me who I was and if I had an appointment, I did so and I explained the kiosk ( which I used many times before) was not working properly. She forced me to give her my name and birthday in front of everyone and with a horrible attitude. When the family waiting next to me asked for help with the kiosk she really had a nasty attitude and acussed them of not making an appointment. Another lady called the family and the first one started an argument.Horrible and unacceptable behavior.

Firstly, there is a mountain of red tape just to get in for an appointment: make your appointment online, then you have to get an email with a confirmation code -but the workers do not even know this confirmation code when you go there with your ID; Then you have to click a text link when you arrive; then sign in on their intake computer(which sometimes works but not always), The staff are ALWAYS backed up with people and running late so they are constantly confused and rushed. Even if you have been there 3 times in the past with the same exact phone and address there is an additional 10 minute wait for them to "verify" and enter all your info on their computer. As far as their staff the black woman with short hair is nice, but all the others are rude and have no compassion. I told the phlebotemist that I cannot control the fact that I pass out after having blood drawn so I would need to lay in the chair after for 2-5 minutes....She said that would be fine but once it happened she started pacing around and acting stressed, then went into side room to complain that I passed out. Then she starts with the "are you ok, are you ok" over and over. That is not how you act or talk to someone who has that bodily reaction. Stay away from this place.

I hate going to this Quest. The phlebotomists have such a bad attitude. Nancy is so slow, it's pathetic. The last time I was there, they game me a hard time because my 10:00 appt. Was made for the North Haven location. I was actually yelled at & told I could not get my blood drawn. I was fasting & told the next available appointment was in the afternoon. There was not one patient in the waiting room & there were 4 phlebotomists there & I was told a loud NO. Finally, someone came out & said she will draw my blood. She said, I will do it this once, but, next time you will have to come back.At this point, I am going to give them one more chance. If they are nasty like usual, I am going to report them & start going to Yale down the street.

My husband went to this quest this morning for labs before his Chemo tomorrow, the lady that waited on his was so very rude and hateful. The most important part of health care is compassion, and if she hates being there so badly,Why not just find another job. We will never go back to this location, life is hard enough these days, we can do without the rudeness!

If I could give zero stars I would. Honestly I feel like I'm wasting my time with this review because from reading the others doesn't look like they care very much... I came in with a great attitude at 720am the website says walk-ins welcome... That was the first problem, walk-ins are not welcome, they are prompted to set up an appointment for a later time. Which was fine, I set one for 1240pm same day. I get there at 1235 check in... wait 20 past my appointment time I get called in by the phlebotomist who thought the daily news gossip was more important to talk about with the delivery guy than me her patient. She puts her hand out to me still not even looking at me or saying anything I assume she wants my id so I hand it to her, still talking to the delivery man shes looking me up. Once her conversation is done and its convenient for her to do her job she tells me there is no order in the computer... fine I said "really aww man can you just check again I hate to have waisted 35 minutes of my time for nothing." Then she swivels her screen over so I can see and says in a very harsh tone "I cant make the order appear out of thin air!" WOW I couldn't believe it! I've been other places of business where I haven't been treated the best so its nothing new but from a healthcare provider and an older person at that NEVER! All in all she was right there was no order but the snarky comments are a bit much especially coming from someone who is old and should know a lot better. I hope this place goes out of business they don't deserve to serve our community with that attitude and from now on, I will advise my doctors office to encourage others to go somewhere else.

03/29/2022 UPDATE: DOESN'T WALK IN MEAN YOU "WALK IN" WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT? NOT WALK IN AND SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IN THE OFFICE AND THEN HAVE TO LEAVE AND COME BACK TO THE APPOINTMENT? ?Would of been nice if there was a sign on the main entrance especially early in the morning saying that the entrance is on the other side of the building. So I waited almost 20 minutes no one was at the door and then I notice people walking to the side entrance.. go around the corner just to see 4 people ahead of me. Waste of time and gave me aggravation.
