I wish I would’ve taken heed to the reviews here about missing mail. Before I get into it I will su that each time I’ve come into this location I’ve been treated well no complaints there. However on the 27th I mailed out an important payment that could not be taken via web had to be mailed in and had to arrive by the 1st. I asked the clerk he said they should receive by 29th. However here it is the 6th and payment has not yet been received.

Surgeo or surge not sure how he spells it, felt it was ok to give a dirty look and stare at you when you leave. Not sure why. I thought thats something management frowns upon? ??

I would love to thank the Spanish clerk I forgot her name but she was the sweetest. She help my family with passport services all while taking care of other customers all by her self with no help because the person who was supposed to be there with her was late!!! I hope her efforts don’t go unnoticed. ❤️

Packages get scanned here and go missing after transit.When you call they take the phone off the hook.When someone shows up ready to scream at your face I wanna see you take the situation off the hook then.

I myself am adding to another poor review to this location along with the long list of bad experiences with customers to this place.Beginning with two pieces of mail that have been lost and going on three weeks now, and after 10 days since mailing them in the outside drop box, I went inside to speak to the woman behind the counter and make a complaint, she didn't show much concern over my situation period.All she said was that many people have been complaining over similar circumstances and there's nothing she can do.Maybe management from up above needs to come in and clean house, make an example and get some fresh new employees on duty, maybe her attitude along with the others will change.Anyone who lives in this area, I recommend traveling to the next location beyond and take your business there, spare yourself some grief.

They are not open until 5 pm weekdays. They close at 3 pm.

Don't ever try to talk to TANYA the front desk clerk, she was so rude with all customers including me, so annoying and speaks very loudly like she's high or something, she just wants to pick a fight with someone. She's not even wearing her jacket properly and no name tag because she knows how bad she is and people will complain about her attitude that's why she was hiding her name. I had to ask about her name because she was very rude with all of us there, we were surprised!But, there was a very nice lady standing next to her at the front desk she helped me a lot and was really polite and nice to me and all the other customers, she's really a friendly great person. Otherwise, just avoid that Tanya she might slap someone someday, I don't know what her problem exactly was and why she was angry at everybody in there. She kept leaving customers standing and waiting at her window and she gives them weird looks and never said a word like they don't even exist. The other customers and me approached her window and she leaves us and tells her coworker that she's taking a break! This woman took like 15 breaks in 10 minutes. She has zero customer service experience, NONE! Plus, she's very rude. And you won't believe what she said at the end before I leave! She said to her coworker: "I wanna open my own office, my own postal services office" I was like ? I can imagine her torturing people in her "OWN OFFICE". I couldn't handle her she was too much so I left quickly and will never go back again there.

On August 5 I dropped off a yellow card to the East Haven post office to hold our mail from 8/7-8/15 notating I would pick up upon return. The post office worker I handed it to said “You’re all set.” I thanked him. August 16 at 8am I went to the post office to get my mail. The woman checked the shelf and said “it’s still on the truck, come back in the afternoon.”Well, I guess my mail is still riding around the town…. If I asked it to be held, then it should be in the building? Checked the mailbox yesterday and no mail. Called the EH post office number online and you get a muffled recording with overtones of a fax machine. I was able to get the 3 numbers on the recording- called each one with no answer. I also called the 800 number which is “linked” to EH post office with no help at all indicating delays due to CoVid. I was never emailed a confirmation number. I sent an email and received a response from Thomas Sullivan (?) indicating my case was given a number and it’s being looked into. Tomorrow I make yet another trip to the Post Office…..

Worst post office around! The older lady at the desk was trying to pick a fight with me before I even got to the counter! I hadn't even spoke a word to her yet. Spoke with other USPS employees and apparently this level of rudeness is a regular thing at this post office. Stay away even if it costs you 15 extra minutes to go to another post office!
