Worst customer service the teller named Sue she was so rude. She did not even say hi. When I handle the money, she looked at me like she was surprised and she was like was that for is that how they train people to deal with money? I would never use that branch again.

Been a Webster Bank account holder for over 30 years, The East Haven main Street branch has an extremely rude and pompous bank teller, along with management that doesn't recognize or appreciate long term dedicated customers, The type of customer service that has no respect or humanistic approach towards people, (who are part of the community that supports her employment PAST and present), should not be in any customer relations position. I will not disclose her name, I'm not that type of person.... to jeopardize an individuals income, but she shouldn't be employed in that position.I usually do all my transactions via ATM, and will do my person to person transactions in another branch.The younger generation that is being employed, (this particular teller), doesn't respect and recognize that it's the long term customer, (30+ years), that was and is part of the growth and stability of Webster Bank.If customer service is negative in a restaurant or any customer relations business it will reflect on the owner operater, I believe that this should be training and accountability towards the operations, in this situation, the bank teller.

Needed a replacement debit/ATM card and they said they don't do that here and wouldn't help me even order a new one! Rude teller and only 1 was working

The worst bank ever! Somehow during their weekend "upgrade" my debt card number was stolen. I was injured and have been house bound since May. My card was in my procession the entire time. Suddenly 2 days after their weekend upgrade storage charges were showing on my account. From PA and MD. I called to dispute it. The only explanation the could give me was my card was stolen. Well, I had the card in my hand when I called. Then they foolishly asked me if I lent the card to anyone. Once again I explained the card was in my procession the entire time. They had no response. Except they would dispute the charges and send me a new card in 5 to 7 business days. New charges appeared the next day. Called again same round of the same stupid questions as the day before on this time I was told they can't do anything with a pending transaction till it goes through. Do the person from my original call was wrong. Then they tell me card will come in 10 days. Ok second round of disputes in. 10 days pass no card . Call again then I'm told 7 to 10 business days. So now here we are 11 business days later. My replacement card WAS LOST! What can they do to help me?!?! Order another card that I'll get in 7 to 10 business days ( maybe) or with the whole 5 minutes the back is open maybe I could run in to get a temp card till some moron there figures out how to send a replacement card that doesn't get lost. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I've been on hold for 50 mins now. Apparently management is to busy to speak to a customer of 40 years. They must be trying to figure out how to send out replacement cards. I will be taking all of my money from this shitty establishment and moving it to a bank that actually appreciates its customers. DO NOT bank with Webster! Take your money and run! If I could give 0 stars I would.

Whoever I spoke with yesterday was the rudest! I came in to close my account, and it was so much hoops to jump through just to close. $15 closing fee, etc etc. I don’t know who she was, she had a ponytail and a blue jacket on, but she was unpleasant. She also confirmed that I was “all set” for my account to be closed. I signed a form and everything. Next day, I open the app to find the account still open. Luckily, the nice lady over the phone that I called was actually able to close it and said I would I get a letter stating it was closed. She was very helpful and gave far more information than the woman inside this branch.

Called ahead to see if they could take bulk coins, said yes. They helped us bring them in, counted them all and was in the process of cashing out. Then they told us they didn't have any room. Thanks for wasting 1.5 hours of my life. Based on this event, I highly recommend staying away from this bank.

The branch manager was very friendly and knowledgeable with helping me set up my PPP first draw for both my businesses. Only one time had I gone where the teller was not as attentive or friendly but every other time they were very helpful.

This branch and bank is brutal. Like to take all monies and leave...which i will soon. Wanted to deposit and get bank check. God forbid they let me inside. Charge monthly fees, stay away....

The staff here should be nominated for sainthood. How they deal with most of the rude and ignorant people that come here is beyond me. I've seen customers trying to cash checks without valid IDs, not even have an account at Webster, ask d*** things why they are still getting charged late fees when they mailed the check, etc. The line usually gets longer because of these idiots and then the customers in line make asinine comments like its staff's fault, but more likely cuz they are too chicken s*** to make a comment about the customer who can say something back. I have been a customer of Webster for 15 years, have multiple accounts with them and have tried other banks and none come close to the customer service of ANY of the Webster branches I have gone too. The only reason I don't frequent this branch as much is because of the ignorant customers that seem to flock here like they have an idiot attraction device in the basement.

I opened an account here 2 years ago to see how the service was different from my credit union. The service is night and day difference in favor of my credit union. I am in there typically more then once a week sometimes up to 3 or 4 times per week. This branch has the WORST customer service I have experienced in all but 1 national chain banking companies, Ive had accounts with 6 during my entire life in more then one state. The rules are never the same from day to day and the older lady Sue is a nightmare to deal with. I've heard from multiple people that she will and does talk about people when they walk away. I've seen her do it with the other tellers in front of customer many times. If I could give them -5 stars I would. We need to teach people like this a lesson that they are not doing us a favor by having OUR money.. We ARE doing them a favor by letting them put dollar amounts in an account while they take our money and invest it or loan it out and make interest on it that we don't get a % of at all. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND STRESS AND TAKE YOUR MONEY AND BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
