Since this changed from true value to ace it has gone extremely downhill. They replaced most inventory with ace brands and doubled/tripled the price on 80% of items. We went From daily purchases to deciding to drive an extra 5 miles to lowes to get what is needed. The convenience of only 1 1/2 mile willing to pay more at CD true value because of time or in the middle of a project to we will drive farther to get what we need since it became ace. I will even drive to the ace in rhode island compared to yo the one just down the from us.

Wow, what a selection, I've never been to such a nice Aces like this wide selection & super friendly staff, they helped me out and got me what I needed & back to work ASAP.

Transition from True Value to Ace seems seamless. Parking lot repaved which is a huge improvement! Staff are always helpful.

Current 5 star:( I like Emerson he truly cares and remembers who he works with. I got a call today explaining the situation and his apology about my inconvenience. Also, this store is huge and has a wonderful selection of saws and standard equipments. Thanks!
Previous 2 star: (I guess they close early now a days. Other than that no complaints, just sad to waste time when not answering phone to see if I can pick up my prepaid part prior to closing time. I called 20 minutes prior to closing and continued to call until my arrival at 6:58. Waste of time and money and resources. A simple answer of the phone woulda been nice. 45 minutes of my day wasted on a part that broke on my 881, on an inconsistent prepay policy.)

I highly recommend Tru Value in East Lyme! They stand by the products they sell, and provide added value. I purchased a new Ariens snow blower from them, a year ago, never used it. I tested it out this year, and the drive mechanism was not working correctly. They fixed it right away, drove up, picked up the snowblower, brought it back to their shop, fixed it, and brought it back to my place; well before an incoming storm, even though the issue was Ariens, and not theirs!! They are there for the customer, for me, and I will always do business with them.
