“My son and I were in the Hartford area from NYC and stopped in at Craftec Hobbies on Saturday 7/27/24. They have really interesting vintage kits at great prices and the manager (sorry, forgot to catch your name!) was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and even willing to negotiate a bit on some kit prices. We ended up picking up three nice kits and he loaned us a tool we needed too! If you are interested in model kits, you need to make the trip to Craftec!!!”

I was kindly greeted when I entered, and was directed to the back to the store to find Wayne.Wayne was great, super informative, and fixed my boat no problem.As I waited, I went upstairs and saw their amazing model train set, slot car track, and crawler course. Very cool place.I will def go back to purchase my first r.c. plane!!”

“I'm an oil painter and they actually have a decent
selection of paint and other accessories. I like the Winsor brand and they do in fact carry them. It's more expensive than other oil paint brands from some craft stores, but I don't mind paying a little more for a better quality product. Store itself is well organized and the staff are very friendly.”
“Having a few hours to kill on my way to the airport, I chose this shop on a whim. I'm very glad I did. They have a phenomenal manga selection, one of the best I've ever seen. I was able to fill several holes in my collection. While the prices aren't exactly low, they are fair. Should I find myself in Connecticut again, I will be sure to stop by.”
