“Ok, y'all, get in here for this and tell me if I'm wrong (I can take accountability). Just now this happened 11:11 am 7/15/2025. The associate was a short darker woman who didn't have a mask on initially when I walked up, but put one on suddenly, I said good morning upon walking up and she said nothing. Then I asked if there are any machines that took cash and she pointed to the opposite side from which I was standing from. Cool, I rang everything out and paid by card, discovering that I did actually have my card on me. I asked for a brown paper bag which all the cashiers always give upon asking. Besides the amazing finds you can find in Price Chopper like this steak, you meet some of the most sweet and kind people working here. This woman asked me if I paid for the bag and I said I didn't but shoppers usually give a courtesy one. She denied me a bag if I didn't pay 5 cents. I just spent $50 and didn't see any harm. So, I went to this kind Spanish woman who took time away from who she was training to give me a brown paper bag. I asked her initially for the manager on duty. She was so willing to help me regardless of whether I paid for the bag or not. She stepped aside with people on the line mind you, to help me all while training an associate. I didn't get her name but I'll never forget her face. I proceeded to pack my things and on the way out told her thank you so that the woman she was training could hear it. She should know that she's being trained by a human being who kind to others and not angry so early in the morning like her coworker. May God bless you Spanish woman ? and please continue to spread kindness throughout the world. I was actually having a bad morning and your tiny gesture helped so much. Next time, I'll carry a contractor bag for my steak and @entenmanns cheese Danish Twist. Mmmm so good and it's on sale too.”

“I am giving 5 stars for the hard-working employees, especially Erika in the produce department, she is always friendly and ready to help . Right now with the COVID-19 crisis people are panicking and buying out everything in sight. Employees are diligently restocking shelves and accommodating customer requests.”

“Love, love, love I think this is the BEST branch of all the branches I have done my business with. Every single person will say hello as soon as you walk in the door. The tellers have personalities and really know their business. One day in particular I used the drive thru but the tube wasn't working. The teller came in the speaker and said " I'll be more than happy to come out and take your transaction". WHO DOES THAT????? I told her that wasn't necessary, I'll come in. Really? Talk about going out if your way for service!”
“Came here the other day for a rapid test. Totally missed this sign on the side of the building, so here it is for anyone else coming for a rapid. Guy was friendly and quick, and you stick the stick up your own nose. Results were back within an hour.”
“This five star rating is in large part due to the fantastic butcher you have and the friendly cashiers that always greet their customers with a smile and are very professional and personable. However, at this time I want to focus on your butcher. He is so very helpful, and because he was a former chef, is willing to share his vast knowledge of tasty and simple recipes that even I can follow! Because of his suggestions I have been able to present a meal fit for a King. Please share my comments with your staff and I hope you value them as much as I do! PS in this changing world we live in it is not easy to not alone find employees, but ones who truly respect and appreciate the opportunity of working for Stop and Shop! Other employers in the area should take notice and follow your good example!”
“I shopped at Big Y this evening and I was blown away by the service! My first stop was the hot food area. The item I was going to purchase had 2 different prices so I asked the first person I saw which price was correct. He said he was not sure (I guessed that it was not his department but he didn't say that it wasn't), but he would tell someone who could help me. He walked over to the person in charge of that department, pointed out who I was and the issue at hand. The young man in that department replaced the bag and printed out the price that was labeled and scannable. Next, over to the Deli counter. The lady behind the counter cut my cheese to the thickness I desired. I walked down several aisles and was amazed at how clean and neat the entire store was- from where I was walking I did not see anything out of place. On my next stop I needed someone taller than me to reach my item. The young man who came over to help me was just as friendly. Finally at the self-check out I was assisted by a young lady who also helped me. At this point, I asked to speak with a Manager who greeted me with a smile and a pleasant disposition. I had to tell him that my entire shopping experience was INCREDIBLE! Every person I encountered actually LOOKED at me, SMILED at me and was very friendly. It was clear they wanted to be where they were this evening. THAT is customer service. I should have rang that bell longer!!”
“This is a very good place for fruit and vegetables. Pots & Pans (AKA Mud Magnet) and I stopped here recently. He bought 2 fishing poles for grand kids (they were $5.50 more EACH at a competitor further north...for the same poles). He also bought an H2O melon (quiz follows), 4 lbs of peaches, 10 ears of corn, etc. He says the prices are much cheaper than the stores in Astoria where his wife, The Breathtaking Maria, shops. He also said that he had so much fun, and he is willing to shop so TBM can relax at home with the little one.Anyway, good prices and quality for produce.”
