My story:
Ordered coxwifi pod online. Didn’t receive. But they billed me anyways. Called customer service. They suggested to go to local enfield store to pick up one. I wish I didn’t. Went first time ever. One of the unfriendly front desk persons that I encountered. If possible please avoid going there. Finally I convinced them to give me one. That way happy.

go with frontier. Go with literally anyone else. Im about to order starlink… for a home on a street with fiber (just not for us, or for 5 other homes, because cox never finishes their work). Their services go down nonstop. They don’t give a heads up for multi hour maintenance. They will charge you for 500mb download and for years you only get 100-120mb. They eventually fix it after re-wiring the house, the street into the house, new router, until they found “oh yea your street is below the threshold we allow as a minimum. We need to redo the Main Street wires”. Like yea, been telling you that for 3 years. There is a fiber optic spool on the telephone pole 40 feet away. I’m about to just go splice it myself and bring it into the house. This is insane.
The fact that going into 2026 in Connecticut in a good town that’s almost all on fiber there’s still clients of yours who are about to switch to SATELLITE is insane. Absolutely insane. There’s faster internet for cheaper from way wayyyyy better companies in literally middle of nowhere towns all over the country. But nope. Not here!
Avoid this company. Avoid avoid avoid. Absolute crap service

Been paying for 500mb download for months and months. Never had more than 120mb download speed. 8 days a month on average with 1mb download! Nuts. They’ve had techs out, new modems, new router, new line from the street to the house. And what? Nothing fixed? Crazyyyyyy. Only getting 20% of what we pay for, sounds like an 80% refund! Been tracking the speeds 24/7 for 3 months and finding out how much of what I’m paying for is actually being received. Go with frontier and heck even starlink would be better. Seen faster internet in a town of 200 people in the desert than what cox provides in freakin CONNECTICUT

Cox store @54 hazard Ave, Enfield. I recently returned some cable equipment , the young man that helped me was really good! He got me in and out in 2 minutes!. This is after being on the phone with internet service for 50 minutes!. Now that is way to long!. To cancel my cable service . That sucked!.

Cox's Wifi is HORRIBLE. As someone in the IT-field who works from home 3rd shift, I can honestly say I have NEVER had a provider so bad. The Wi-Fi goes into an outage at least once month, sometimes multiple nights in a row...forcing me to drive into work at all hours of the night. I understand the need to update and/or do network maintenance every now and then, but I NEVER dealt with this many instances with Xfinity in all of my years working my job. I pay for the top-teir internet product they offer only to NOT be able to use it when I need to...without ANY maintenance warnings or alerts. I'm beyond disappointed and after, yet another, night in a row that I will be having to drive into the office at 3am, I will be calling in to complain and get my bill reduced. Today is 4/19/23 and they currently have a notice on the site saying the outage may be active until 3/23/23?!?!?! They're AWFUL. 0 out of 10...would NEVER recommend.

I went to the store to cancel my account and the person that handled it " older gray hair beard" was rude and act that I was inconveniencing him. Then my wife went to the store to pay the last bill a couple of day later and she mentioned about a person that was very rude and she saided the same thing. she described the same person
