CVS has the stupidest lunch break. Why not schedule employees for 30 min lunch break in shifts instead of shutting down the entire pharmacy?

This is the most ridiculous pharmacy I have ever seen. 98% of the time I have a terrible experience. Completely chaotic, under staffed, discombobulated. I could sit here and list the situations that have led me to this post but frankly I can’t even remember all the them. Just remember the following things:MAKE SURE it is no where close to 1:30 when you get there. That’s their lunch 1/2 hour and they will leave you even if you are the only person left in the line.Secondly, make sure you check goodrx or check for a coupon because they will not go out of their way to help you if you are paying 200.00 for a prescription and they know there is a way to get it for 20.00. (Through good ex or whatever)I am finally switching pharmacies because I just cannot deal with it, nor can I understand how such an important service can be so screwed up.

The most incompetent pharmacy I've ever seen. Don't ever think you'll be in and out without 50 made up issues that appear out of nowhere every time you go here. Walgreens is no better. This is what happens when two companies are allowed to put every small time pharmacy out of business within a 50 mile radius.

Just a nightmare getting my prescription, have the flu… was supposed get it 2 days ago… “we don’t have it” “we will have it ready in 2 hours” “we will have it ready later on today”Stupid robot on the phone that leaves you on hold for 30 minutes. Pharmacist leaves you with nothing… “we’re trying to fillit” back and forth in person and calls, feels like i’m being lied to. not to mention you take flu medicine in the first 48 hours. Shouldn’t have to miss work for this.i can understand busy but im just being told anything by all the staff just so they can hang up or get rid of you.. worst CVS ever(they don’t even have a person check you out anymore and if you don’t know how to use the computer screen your SOL) worst pharmacy ever.I can see why they will soon no longer be 24/7, maybe then they have a chance to improve.

Got a message from cvs over a week ago letting me know that my prescription was in process but delayed, they didn’t have the medication in stock but they had ordered it and it would be ready in a few days. After day 3 had passed and I’d heard nothing I began to try to reach a pharmacist on the phone. I wanted to know if they knew when the meds would be in or if I should start looking into other pharmacies. After multiple attempts at all different times during the day and night over the course of three days and being left on hold (not by an actual person but by the automated system) for anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour I finally got a pharmacy associate on the phone. She told me that no other cvs in the area has the medication in stock and that it’s indefinitely back ordered. Because of the way insurance companies operate you can’t even get a new prescription until the last day of dosing of the current prescription. Luckily I had started rationing the meds a few days in advance out of fear I’d be left completely without. But here we are on day 8 after CVS received the prescription from my doctor and am just now finding out that CVS has no idea when or even if they will be able to get the medication in stock. They are so desperately understaffed. CVS profits for 2023 and CEO pay are pretty high. Profits (not revenue, profits) are in the multiple billions and CEO compensation is in the tens of millions. Can this corp really not afford to properly staff its pharmacies? When I called, the woman I spoke with told me the pharmacist on duty at that time was terribly ill with fever from an upper respiratory infection but had to come to work anyway because of understaffing. So this poor sick man has to come to work severely ill, jeopardizing his own health/safety and I’m sure upping the risk of error AND exposing the community to the infection. Unacceptable CVS. Is it not a pharmacy? Is it not supposed to provide important, sometimes life saving and for sure quality of life effecting medications to people? To tell me my prescription would be ready in a few days and then not reach out and not even be available to answer the phone to let me know that the information they had originally provided me was false and that the wait for the meds would actually be indefinite is beyond what I ever thought would be acceptable for a pharmacy. The woman I spoke with told me the only solution would be for me to call around to all the other pharmacies in CT to ask if they have or could get the medication in stock. What a mess. Imagine if I find out that they all operate the same way and don’t answer their phones? I’d then have to drive around from pharmacy to pharmacy waiting in line to inquire with the pharmacist at each location until I find one that has it.

On hold for over an hour when 1:30 (their lunch time) hit and the call disconnected. Waited for their lunch to end, and called back. On hold for 22 minutes when someone answered. I explained why I was calling and they said "we don't have time for this" and hung up on me. Ridiculous. Update: on hold for another 37 minutes when someone picked up, said "haven't you figured out we are not taking calls?" And hung up on me.

2nd edit 11/09 I have been on hold a 2nd time for an hour and 40 minutes. A total of 3 hours (more if you count the other 20 minute call I did earlier) trying to speak to a human at this terrible terrible store.Edit 11/09 after spending an hour and twenty minutes (and counting) on the phone after someone earlier said I wouldn't have to call back here we are. Go to any other pharmacy. This place should be closed.Claiming drive thru is closed due to short staffed while there are 4 pharmacy technicians working and 2 pharmacists. Been like this for over a week.

This pharmacy is a joke. They apparently are always understaffed and they take literally 7 to 8 hours to fill your prescription if you’re lucky. Calling their phone number and trying to get somebody on the phone is a nightmare and almost impossible and sometimes when you called they don’t even pick up because they’re so short staffed. They can’t pick up the phone but they won’t let you know that, so you’ll just sit on hold forever. The issue is the other pharmacy in my town is Walgreens and Walgreens doesn’t take anthem Blue Cross because CVS owns anthem Blue Cross so I am stuck with CVS. It’s a nightmare and if you don’t have to do business with the CVS then definitely go somewhere else. Walgreens would’ve had my prescription done and ready in a half an hour. These people took eight hours for 2 of the 6 prescriptions, the other 4 were ready a few days later.

My son just passed away, and I’ve already been struggling, I called to pick up my medication for my mental health and the woman over the phone was very rude and condescending. No wonder why you guys have a 2.4 on google.

I wish I could give no stars despite the fact it's a 24 hour CVS that's quite dysfunctional. Due to my insurance changing what's approved for medications- I had to deal with 3 months without birth control. This pharmacy was "faxing" the wrong number for prior authorization. For 3 months they didn't try to call my doctor to verify if they were receiving it. It took 4 trips to this CVS and my doctor to get printouts of what was going on. I had to get the new fax number because cvs couldn't call my doctor even though they are less than a mile from eachother . They never have medications in stock. My birth control was always on "order from central filling" They constantly have new staff but the drive through is always slow. I went there to get the status of my birth control now that it's approved and was stuck in the line for over 35 minutes. There's no way to get out of the line and the day I went was while there was construction and half of the parking lot was barricaded off.

They have the worst customer service ever they do not even ask if t it's okay to be put on hold number one, number two I sat on hold for over a half an hour and still was not helped! Not to mention the countless times iv waited in line to be told my script wasn't ready. But obviously they don't care to change anything.
