The Connecticut Audubon Society is an amazing place and a great environmental learning center. It features a large sanctuary with miles of clean, well-kept, and kid-friendly walking trails. The terrain is pretty and flat, a little marshy in places, offering an easy and refreshing hike rather than a challenging one. The facility includes a wildlife sanctuary and an injured animal facility, with small animals like turtles and hamsters. It is a very nice small nature society where visitors can spend time with friends, hike, and go bird watching. The visiting center is a great place to visit for a class trip or to hold a child's birthday party, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who work extremely well with children.
