While my preference is to shop in used bookstores for my own collection, I decided to check out this place as I was looking for a gift. The store is spacious and well organized and I liked that there was a best seller list table right when you walk it. Decent selection of books prominently displayed; I enjoyed looking at all the different genres. They have greeting cards, gift items, Fairfield U clothing and paraphernalia. I was able to find a great book gift that happened to be 30 percent off. They also have a cafe/coffee shop and some indoor and outdoor seating. Upstairs for the textbooks. On street parking.I would recommend a visit.

They were very supportive and the phone. I just felt that she really wanted to help me. I will be going to the store and I update on there service there. However the service was amazing in the phone. I can only imagine it will be the same when I get there!Nick

After four years of getting my textbooks here I can honestly say shop on Amazon. The staff at the bookstore issuper nice, except for the manager. If you have any issues with an order he will undoubtedly blame you for the bookstore messing up and will personally make it difficult for you to be refunded. Though the rest of the staff was always pleasant it's not worth it when you could just as easily order your books from Amazon and probably get a better deal.

Wonderful book store. Knowledgeable booksellers. Warm, welcoming and an important part of the community. Books, gifts, coffee and a great place to meet for business. Support them. We need them. Heart of the business district. I will add that I’m a first-time local author and the store has been incredibly kind and welcoming to me. I appreciate this openness immensely. Very special. We are so fortunate!

Shopping at The Fairfield Book Store is a very pleasant experience. When necessary, there is personal attention from store personnel, be it a sales assistant or store manager. Has the book you want or will get it for you. Very homey atmosphere, including the coffee bar and readers lounge. Prices of books, including discounts, very similar to Barnes & Noble. The Book Store is a definite asset to the community. I enthusiastically recommend it. Marvin Findling
