HORRIBLE IF you get assistance from the extremely passive aggressive old woman with the Covid mask on always to the left of the counter. She is deliberately difficult (for example, hiding the tape meant for customers) and pretends to not comprehend simple tasks. ANYONE else is lovely and quick and efficient.

Rude and unhelpful lady at the desk. Made me unpack the box which was then essentially useless and demanded that I use their packaging to repack… wastage and a total lack of respect for customers. Meanwhile she was moaning and muttering about her chips being stale from behind her mask…

**Review: A Nightmarish Experience at the Post Office in Southport**
I recently had an appalling experience at the Post Office that left me feeling humiliated and disrespected. As an immigration and criminal attorney in New York, I frequently purchase money orders to send with my clients' applications to the USCIS. However, my recent visit was nothing short of a nightmare.
The moment I walked into the office, I sensed trouble. I picked up an envelope for my mail going to Texas, and the manager immediately interjected, "That is a $30 one, you don't want it," without any inquiry from me. This unsolicited comment was just the beginning of my ordeal.
When I approached the teller and requested three money orders, I was curtly told, "NO, you have to ask the manager." When I approached the manager, she demanded to see my passport before I could purchase the money orders. I was taken aback and asked why, especially since she hadn't even inquired about the amount. Despite showing my ID from the Federal Court and explaining that the total amount of the money orders was less than $1,900, she stubbornly insisted, "NO, bring your passport."
This unreasonable and discriminatory treatment left me feeling utterly humiliated in front of about 18 other customers. I never expected to be treated this way, especially given my professional background. The behavior of the employees was not only biased but also unprofessional and disrespectful.
This experience has severely tarnished my perception of the Post Office, and I hope that no one else has to endure such treatment.

My family and I were Sat. May 4th for passport renewal and had the wrong date! The women working, I don't know her name, was the nicest, kindest most patient pleasant person with the best costumer service! Not only did we have the wrong date, but we forgot so many things and had to leave and come back. She was by herself and took us in between customers all with a smile on her face. Thank you!

A white lady named Maria and he white young coworker Male, did not want to help me with my passport renewal process questions. They were kind to the other white people coming into the post office, but when it was my turn they had an attitude, especially the lady named Maria. Really hurt and disappointed with the racism I had to deal with. Now I’m concerned my passport won’t renew.

We had an appointment scheduled at a separate post office for passports, but were turned away and referred to the Southport location. The other office said that the Southport location took walk-ins. When we arrived at the Southport post office, we were informed that they took walk-ins only in the afternoon (and it was still morning), but Lynn took pity on us and took us in anyway. She expertly and efficiently handled our passport applications (2 adults and 2 kids) without batting and eye. Thank you, Lynn!! You’re a life saver!!

I arrived 20 minutes before closing and the lights were off and the door was locked. There was someone in the back room that would not answer the door… if you close at 12 then actually close at 12, not 11:30

Terrible I would have chosen to live in another town if I knew how bad everything having to do with the Southport post office was. The worst i have ever delt with.
