Go here! Definitely not a luxury experience with champagne and a red carpet if that’s what you are looking for- but they have a ton of bridal options! I got a wedding dress for $800 brand new with tags. It’s for sale used online for over $2000. They have small try on rooms that do the trick and the staff is very helpful!

I stopped by Brides to be on a whim because I was traveling through the area, and have a wedding I am attending in a couple months that I needed a dress for as well as my own wedding on the horizon. Nice selection of formal gowns, very reasonable prices, and the saleswoman I worked with was accommodating but not overbearing. I love that I did not need an appointment, so I could just stop in, and they have a large selection of gowns there. I will be back for my wedding gown!

My sister found this place online and it was meant to be. The woman there was very hospitable and knowledgeable. My sister found a dress that was unique as she is. The price was a no brainer, but it was more about the feeling. Suggest a visit for yourself.

It took me a few months to write this review, I wasn’t even going to, but after speaking to other brides that had similar experiences, I decided to tell my experience and hope they take it as a constructive feedback.
I went in looking for a wedding dress a few months ago, both the consultant and the owner were very nice and friendly with me and made me feel welcome, they asked me what I had in mind and if I had tried on wedding dresses before and what size worked for me. I told them I had only been to David’s bridal and the consultant laughed and made a joke about it, which wasn’t really ethical or professional, when I told them the size that fitted me (a 16), the owner explained to me that usually David bridal’s gowns are a little bigger than designer gowns, and that I should try to size up to an 18. As the owner was explaining this to me, the consultant interrupted her and said she thought I was much bigger than that, which doesn’t offend me at all. I tried to explain to her the kind of dress I was interested in trying (A-line), and because most of my measurements are on my hips, and I have a relatively smaller waist, I knew I wouldn’t need anything too big, but I trusted her experienced and went along with it. First gowns she had me try were a size 26, I could LITERALLY fit another person in that dress with me, when I showed it to her, I was expecting she would do the obvious and skip a few sizes down, since the dress was clearly huge, but my jaw dropped when she actually made me waste so much time going down one size at a time. I had to take initiative to try on a size 20 and fell in love with it, it was a gorgeous dress, but clearly still too big, when I told her I was concerned the bodice would need too many alterations, she dismissed me and tried to reassure that the only alteration needed would be a little pinch on each strap and that it fitted me perfectly (which was far from reality). I really fell in love with the dress, but when I got home and showed my family and friends some photos, everyone saw how ill fitting the dress was, and even my aunt, who has been a seamstress longer than I have been alive, agreed that a lot of alterations would be needed, especially given the design of the back.
I ended up not going back and going to 2 famous boutiques in the area, in both places I had 0 problems finding a dress, and every single dress I tried was a perfect size 16, I ended up buying a beautiful Justin Alexander gown that was the last of its kind and needed no alterations whatsoever except a little hem. After my experience at Brides to be, I felt like they were either trying to take advantage of me to make money with alterations, didn’t have a clue of what they were doing, or didn’t know how to work with curvy women, of all my experiences, including David’s bridal with a 20 something year old consultant, no one had a problem finding the right size for me.

It's very very obvious that they prefer and cater to thinner brides, as some of the other reviews state. I'm not even big, just average sized, but very curvy, so a lot of these already tailored dresses are not for me, but the consultant was obviously very frustrated with things not fitting me, didn't let me try on all the pulls, and gave me no compliments whatsoever. She was constantly complimenting another customer on her dresses and how beautiful they were. She was much more petite. I walked out eventually and didn't continue trying things on. They have some beautiful dresses for decent prices, so just walk in with confidence and knowing what you want and you might find something, but it was not for me and I would not return.

I had a great experience buying my dress here. It is small and chaotic at times but all in all was a good experience. The lady who helped me was very friendly and helpful and I do love the dress I bought. BUT DO NOT get it altered by their seamstress!!! Not only was she rude but also cut my dress too short!!! She told me to just pull it down then charged me $450 for that! I am extremely disappointed and frustrated!!! It was literally just a cut not a hem so there is no way for me to fix her screw up! And she didn’t even seem to care. 😫

I consigned my wedding dress at Brides To Be and what an amazing, seamless experience. They called me personally to tell my dress sold. Knowing someone will love my dress as much as I had is a wonderful feeling. Thank you to Brides to Be for making that possible.

I can’t believe how rude this woman was she is very short with short hair and glasses. As soon as I walked in she said what are you looking for I said a formal dress she said oh size 18s are back there and said nothing more. First of all! I am not an 18, she explained that the sizing is different with these gowns, and she said, I actually might be bigger. I have never felt so insulted. She was very helpful to other people and I assumed it was because I was black, but after reading these reviews, It seems this is just a miserable establishment no matter what color. I will not return and I will tell others not to go to this dated, overpriced snotty place.

They have a great selection of dresses and I ended up buying my wedding gown here. Despite what some of the other reviews said, I found the staff to be very easy to work with and helpful.

Terrible workmanship. My wife's dress was screwd up. The seamstress was the problem she says she is the best but clearly not. She was not happy with the top ot was adjusted to high and we had to go to another place. She refused to alter it to her dimensions

The woman who works there is extremely rude. Not sure how this place has so many good reviews. Her alone made me want to leave. She kept suggesting I was a much larger size in the worst way.
