The Deli.. Skip it & go to big Y instead. I don't even have to tell you why, I can SHOW you. I ordered Land O Lakes American White Cheese & this is what i left with. (I don't eat American cheese, this was obviously for a friend.) I should have brought it back, but we just decided to melt it down into a golden nugget. What, its not like you could actually make a sandwich with it. Better yet, if you are in Manchester go to Bogner's! Now only are their prices great, but the Deli staff takes pride in their work. Maybe i should do a review on them next!!

General poor attitude and negativity from front end people. Not a friendly vibe in the store, employees tell me this. Digital coupons are a disaster (corporate issue?), takes days to load' when they do. Prices are high overall, even the store brands. I do my primary shopping elsewhere and use them for sale items only. They are not the only grocery store in town like they used to be. FYI. Between myself and my parents, we are 60 plus years customer with the Stop and Shop store. Very disappointed with the current atmosphere/feel of the store(s).

Bananas on point. Bakery needs to not keep cookies out for like 2 weeks thinking we're gonna pay $5 for em... hard no!

This place seems to cater to white nationalism in a really dumb way. As if they think they invented winking or something.
Also, the rear corner smells like urine (both of them).

This store has no respect for its employees and the manager Tony is unpleasant and rude. I will not be coming back.

The management at this stop and shop is horrendous. The employees are treated with little to no respect. I suggest you take your grocery list elsewhere.

You cut all the cashiers in Granby so there is usually only one open lane. This forces customers to ring in their own orders using the self checkout, hand held scanners or the app on their phone. Then you essentially accuse shoppers of being untrustworthy by subjecting them to audits of their orders.
Six days ago I was in the Granby Stop & Shop store and used the app to do my shopping. I was in a hurry as I had a few minutes before I had to pick kids up from school. Of course I got the audit which was completed by the attendant. I was horrified to be accused of not having scanned an item in my cart. I was surprised, as I am pretty meticulous about how I scan items before bagging them. The attendant added the item to my order and I paid at the self serve station. I quickly checked my receipt after paying and was angered to see that not only had I in fact scanned the item in question, I had now paid for it twice! The response from the attendant was “I just do what the scanner tells me.” I then had to wait in line at the customer service desk to get a refund and was never even told how or why this had happened.
Fast forward to yesterday, I had around $300 of groceries in my cart. Scanned everything with the app and went to checkout at the self service kiosks. Immediately I was selected for the audit (surprise). Was then told by the attendant that I would have to scan every item with a hand scanner as the audit could not be used with the app on my phone (yet it worked six days ago). I asked to speak with a manager and informed them that I was done and would not shop at the store again. I told them to take the groceries back and that I would go to BigY which is brand new and just down the street.
Didn’t even get an apology from the manager just “we can’t control the scanners.”
We spend $1000’s in the store but never again!

This review is for the florist department. I came in tonight in a pinch as my fiancé is getting out of the hospital tomorrow and I wanted to make sure a nice arrangement was in place. I usually have flowers delivered but again, I was in a pinch. Helena, the florist manager was nothing short of fantastic as she made me a beautiful arrangement and was super helpful. I honestly couldn't have been happier and I'm now kicking myself because I usually spend double the price from an independent florist. I will now be using this Stop and Shop's floral department with all of my floral needs. Thank you again Helena, you created a beautiful arrangement, were an absolute pleasure to chat with and Stop and Shop is fortunate to have you! I'd recommend this florist department to anyone!
