“After the recent death of our 15-year-old cat, we decided to get another one from a shelter. My first visit to Kitty Harbor was to kind of check the place out. Upon entering the premises, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the shelter was clean and odor free despite all the cats they had. Additionally, I could see that the cats were well taken care of and all looked healthy. After seeing the cats and speaking to someone about the adoption process, I went home and filled out the online application and a week later went there and had my interview. We decided to get two cats, a mother and daughter named Jade and Junie who are now in their new home. The staff were ALL pleasant to speak to and I could tell that they all loved the animals in their care. We were given a number of gifts to take home which I thought was very generous...toys, food, blankets, carriers, catnip, etc. The adoption fee was quite reasonable and before we could take the cats home they were taken to the vet for updated shots. I highly recommend this shelter if you are looking to adopt a cat. I honestly can't understand some of the negative reviews that were given on this site.”
