Little bit of rain and the place is under water. Be careful of what site you are getting into. Should look into your dog policies and get with the times or at least post something when making reservations so it's not a surprise when you get there and big signs saying no dogs. Fortunately the person who was working at the office said don't worry about it there's nobody here, but the weekend came sites filled up and several dogs in the campground. Imagine that and I was worried about it.Dog-friendliness: No dogs aloud, but don't worry about it. It's not something they are in forcing.

We went recently for a ladies camping weekend. The park is very nice, it’s a great place for families looking to have some relaxing time away from a busy life. The park is set up to be more like a community base setting. Every one is friendly and is happy to help with whatever questions you have. What I really love about this park was the hiking/biking trails. No matter what path you take for biking or hiking it leads right back into the park. Therefore you can never get lost in the woods. Another thing I did like was where the facility is located. It’s like a light house to guide you back to your street. The website said no pets but it seem as if no one is going by that rule.I don’t mind people having their pets but when you go to the facility and find a dog in the baby changing table, that clearly violates the rule. I can’t imagine being a parent and being my child to use the facility and lay the child in the same area someone had their dog laying.Other than that it’s a great place to go camping.

We dropped our kayaks in at the campground which is allowed, then parked our trailer by the office. The pond is very quiet unless you go by the beach, but even then it's quite pleasant. Lots of wildlife to see along the edge of the woods, fish to catch and water smooth as glass to paddle on. There are probably easier drop in sites if you don't have a trailer. Great paddling and not busy.Restrooms: Modern clean restrooms.Picnic area: Lots of locations to eat your own brought lunch.

Growing up in Griswold, Hopeville was a staple of my childhood. Always a fantastic place for family events, hiking, sports, camping, and more!Hopeville’s wide open fields and acres of trails make it the perfect place for me and my training clients to help more canine companions find joy in exploring the world with their humans!Dog-friendliness: On leash! :)Please always be courteous of those around you and give other dog owners space. Lots of people visit hopeville with their companions but may not be open to meeting new people or dogs, and thats ok!!!Mutual respect and understanding in the canine community is always appreciated.Go explore Hopeville with your pup!

Serene campground where I've made generational memories. Nothing special but it's classic. They do movie nights now! 2 beaches, one private to the campground. Bath house with showers. Rangers station where they sell firewood and ice, when you catch a ranger there. Basketball hoop, placed a little close to the road for this moms liking. No dogs or alcohol allowed in campground. The water is mucky with weeds in most areas outside the swimming areas. But its calm waters are perfect for recreation. My kids row around no problem. And roam the grounds on their bikes safely thanks to ranger patrol. We will be back. And hopefully they'll camp there with their kids one day.

Absolutely serene. Stayed at the canoe sites which were immaculate, and well kept. The RV sites looked nice as well. Didnt expect to be able to camp so close to the water! Only thing I was missing was a kayak.Hammock campers beware, there is ordinance against tying anything to the trees.Dog-friendliness: Signs posted dogs are not allowed in the campgrounds.

Nice campsite. Went during the week and it was quiet. Bathrooms were clean but had composting toilets (no smell though). Only negative was that the ranger wasn't in the office, so we were unable to purchase firewood for the night.

Awesome campground. They have activities through the summer like movie nights & swimming. They have a lot of really nice sites & a super cute little log cabin to rent as well. Can't beat it for the price!

Great place to go camping with kids! We love coming here with a bunch of other families. The swimming area is perfect for the kids to play around in, and the camp ground is small enough that they can bike and explore and not get lost. Facilities are well kept.

Hopeville is a cute park, the kids loved the little pond and were able to swim in it and enjoyed all the seaweed and whatnot. Some friends even caught a fish nearby. The sand is a good texture and it's clean enough to walk on barefoot even for the little ones. There are picnic tables and lots of shaded spots. We will return!
