The Bill Memorial Library, established in 1890 in the historic Groton Bank neighborhood, is a beloved community resource and a historic gem. It houses approximately 21,000 items, including novels, current non-fiction, classics, large print books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, and ebooks. The library features a reference room with newspapers, magazines, study space, and computers for reference and public access. The children's room offers a wide selection of popular and classic fiction, picture books, and CD books, while the Young Adult room provides current print and graphic novels, along with comfortable seating and computers. Additionally, the library holds a genealogy and local history collection for research. Visitors frequently enjoy the children's programming, such as Tuesday morning singing and dancing activities, storytime, and music programs, which are all led by warm and helpful staff. The library's beautiful building, both inside and outside, is well-maintained, cozy, and inviting, making it a treasured spot for families and community members alike.
When I was a teen from an abusive household, this place was a lifeline to me! A quiet place to research, learn, and study. It was and likely still is a perfect place to reflect. I am very glad to see the library is still operating and will be making financial contributions when I get the chance.

We go here often for their children's programming. Tuesday morning at 10am they have a fun singing & dancing activity for little ones. The children's room is also very beautiful and well done.
