Since I've lived in the same home since 1982, I have been going to Cumbys, I have NEVER had a bad experience here , all the employees are friendly and helpful, the manager is very hard working, Wanda works early morning and greets regulars by name and knows what you need, I've read some of the reviews people have posted and honestly don't understand the negative comments about this store, They're all really great as far as I am concerned

Store is wicked busy in the morning..usually only 1 register open ...coffee is good as long as the person is careful and doesn't get the filter stuck and you end up with the coffee grinds...numerous times...

No coffee at 6am. Went to get a latte instead, out. Frozen coffee? Out of order. Ok I'll Just get my cigs. Nope out of them too. Great start to my day.

Went In at 1am to get a pizza and Daniel working tonight refuse to make me one. Then copted an attitude when I ask why. Then the old lady manager is rude and tried to push me out of the way when I was bagging my stuff. Now they’re accusing me of stealing which I know good well I didn’t steal anything. I work too hard and too long I don’t need to steal anything. You lost a good faithful customer. I wouldn’t trade here if I were y’all.

I was checking out and found out you can't use the scanner for your card unless you use your pin only. When the cashier tried to void the transaction, the register prevented him from doing so. I don't like using my pin in a public place nor do I ever. I didn't have much choice and had to. Next time I'll put it in the slot but they need to update that for contactless transactions. Everything else about the store is fine.So a couple of years go by and you can only do debit instead of credit. No matter where you put a debit card, the chip insert, scan slider or contactless, you will not be able to use credit. You are FORCED to enter a pin. How about getting these scanners replaced by something that works????

Nothing more aggravating at 42 years old than having ignorant employees with careless attitudes turning away my business.First time was when i did not have my I.D. on me, and the kid who was half my age wouldn't sell me cigarettes. After going there for over 2 years not being carded once. Second time, I was refused service because I didn't have anything smaller than 100 dollar bill, even though I was about to spend 45 dollars there. I was declined service!Seriously, one of the most busiest gas stations in Groton. Open 24/7 and being close enough to Electric boat to throw a football over their building, and they "can't break 100 dollar bill"!?I've been coming here for a long time because it's convenient. Not anymore. Both times I had to drive a couple miles out of my way to have no problems being served by Citgo at late hours of the night. Which btw will break big bills and have enough common sense to know I'm old enough to smoke. I can almost understand the big bill "issue". But turning into Walgreens carding everyone who are clearly of age is just pathetic.

More important than the cleanliness of the store, cashier Karissa was exceptional. Not only did she greet me and asked how my day was going, she had the decency and common courtesy to ask if I wanted my receipt. Nowadays, it is rare for people taking your payment to spare 3 seconds to ask. So, bravo, Karissa. You are a gem.

It's very clean the last few times I went there I haven't seen any of the familiar faces. That I were used to seeing as we would go there often, there's all new faces just not the same Lacking good social customer service. there was one lady I don't know if she's still there or not but that lady was the most hardest worker in the most nicest employee great customer service if she's still I wouldn't mind continue spending my money there every day like I used to people are just not as friendly the ones that I seen at least on the night shift and also the hot food is not kept fresh like it used to be

Very convenient if you have the money and if you live local without a vehicle, The employee with the green hair young girl is very extremely rude. does not offer you any bags or receipts upon cash out. All my experiences before were okay, but ever since she's been there has been a total nightmare and has been causing me to bring my business elsewhere!!!!

Overall it's your basic Cumbys!! But like most businesses there are some not so favorable employees. Like Sarah who will give you a hard time about your service animal and then tell you that you're a nasty drunk. The manager is equally as bad but everyone else is super nice!! If you ever have any issues with in this store save yourself the hassle and skip the manager and go straight to the district manager.

Employees letting people hang out in parking lot.I was approached by several kids asking me for money and to buy them cigars. Employees got mad at me and actually kicked me out.I guess it's ok to feel uncomfortableWhile I was making coffee..I had to watch my car. So I asked about their policy..they go you can leave sir. So I left store . Man were they disrespectful to me. I only can pray for people like this who are rude toCustomers. After reading reviewsI feel so much better that most folks are treated poorly..thought Isomething wrong. Well ok I just spend like 500 a month there. But I go elsewhere. Let's pray for these employees who are very unhappy and take it out on us customers
