I am only in Groton for a few months and I keep finding excuses to come back to this spot. They have such a cool selection of old books and the owner and the dogs are always so welcoming. It’s definitely a great place to check out if you ever find yourself in the area.

I'm from out of state and I stopped in your shop today and was so excited to find a cool bookstore with previously owned books! I found quite a few. You were so friendly and helpful. The little dog was adorable. So glad I saw your store! ? ? ?

I and my Significant Other were taking a day trip to Mystic from Hartford CT with no idea that there even was a book store in Mystic. Then we saw a small shop with an odd name, "No Other Book Like This." We went in, and were flabbergasted to come across one of the nicest small book shops I've ever visited. A large collection of great books from sci-fi to vintage to popular to everything else--I even saw a 19th-century 2nd edition of Noah Webster's Dictionary! Plus the shop owner was the absolute soul of charm. She couldn't have been more friendly or more knowledgable about books or about the town generally, and I walked away with several affordable little gems. Forget the Seaport Museum--this was easily the best thing about our visit to Mystic, and is a must stop for any book lover in the Connecticut area.

Friendly shop owner, cute bookshop dog, and an AMAZING collection of books. What more could you want? Oh that it's also across the street from the station so you can wait for the train while surrounded by books - yup you can want that. :)

I've come here a few times in search of a specific book. Regardless of not being able to find it yet, the owner has always been so incredibly helpful. She never just tells me where I might find an author, she actively helps me look for the author and goes out of her way to double check other sections.

I love what the new owner has done with this spot. Cozy, welcoming, and so much more organized. The staff is knowledgeable and you can tell they’re passionate about books. Everything I’ve read so far from their staff picks section has been a winner. Also gotta love the secondhand bookstore pricing!

Books, Etc is under new ownership and is very much aligned with the former owner. She listens to her customers and carries books in all genres. I love the bookstore for it's diversity and where there are piles of books, you'll most likely see someone cross legged on the floor combing through them. It's a great little shop with thousands and thousands of gently used books with some first editions. Comic books, graphic novels, psychology, self help, fiction, biography, mystery, thrillers, romance, tawdry, and a section for newest arrivals that she's yet to put away. Check out the DVDs; this section is growing too... I'm always checking it out.
