Not happy with the service or should I say lack of service. Pep boys ordered the wrong tires, let me sit in the waiting room for 2 hours before telling me. When they finally ordered the right tires and I had to come back a second time they let me sit in the waiting room for over 3 hours to put the tires on. Poor service, not enough people working, dirty facility, dirty restroom.

Made an appointment week in advance for oil change and regular check up, I arrived on time, spend 3 hours waiting for my car, i got told that I need car back because im going for work and they didn’t do anything…they asked me to come later and finish the process for free. I have made another appointment, they finished the work and just gave me 10% off…..

I had a flat tire. I called and they told me to bring it in, in about 1 hour. When I got there they took care of it right away and I was out of there in less than an hour. The service was GREAT! As we all know the price of everything has gone through the roof. The repair to the tire cost $50! That was a surprise

Spent over a thousand dollars on tires and road hazard warranty. Ran over something that caused my tire to go flat. Made an “appointment “ to have it fixed. An hour and a 1/2 after my scheduled appointment I am told the tire is unrepairable and I can buy a new tire prorated for $130. I will never come here again. 2 hours later I leave having spent $130 thanks to buying road hazard insurance.

Industry standard seems to be 1 hour for complete tire install. This Pepboys has taken over 6 hrs. Still not complete as of this post. If possible I wouldn't even give a star at this point.

Got charged $400 for a $120 part. Not the labor, or the service fee, or any other aspect of the service; the PARTS charge was $400 for a $120 part.I can't recommend a business that isn't honest about the cost of parts. If I can't trust them to be truthful about that, then I can't trust them to be truthful about anything else.Service itself was effective, so I guess if you know exactly what you need and buy your own parts you might be okay with them.

Never ever go to this place if you have even a tiny bit of respect for yourself or your car. The technicians took horrible care of my car and don’t even know how to park it when they’re done. The whole front of my car (a sedan) was crunched on the curb, completely bending my entire underskirt on the underside of the car. The manager Bob did absolutely nothing to fix the situation and made an embarrassment of himself and the entire store. I politely suggested that they replace the cheap plastic piece on the underside they had damaged and he denied doing any of it and completely refused the idea of it. Truly embarrassing, how is this place even still in business? Once again never go there if care about your car whatsoever, they’re a bunch of morons.

I have only been here once and I can confidently say that I’ll never go back. I have been treated so poorly and upcharged by a bunch of employees who I’m not sure have even graduated high school based on their customer service skills. I’ve heard stories about them damaging other people’s cars and I can honestly say that I’m not surprised. I heard from someone that they hit the curb and damaged the front of the car, something that they have since denied. Would you really want to trust your car with people who lie and try to scam you? I wouldn’t.

Went here for an oil change - they ruined my skid plate - then tried to charge me for it.. over $100.. negligent employees.. I've had this cars oil changed and at many other places and never had this issue but here at pep boys they ruined my car and I'll never go back - I warn other people. Their rating is deserved.

Overall positive experience. Called them last Friday about tires. They ordered the tires I wanted and said they should have them by Sunday/Monday. I was told I would be called. I called them Tuesday to find out the tires were there, I just hadn't been called. They offered to install WED but due to my schedule I had them installed THU Again, overall positive, no upselling tactics. Not sure who the other reviews dealt with, but I would definitely recommend to others for tires.

Anything more than a basic oil change, emissions and tires, don't bother. And even then, don't bother. The way we were treated at Pep Boys has compelled me to write my first negative review. So, we are in the middle of a military move and one of our vehicles suddenly lost break lights. We called up every shop near us and explained the situation and our urgency but unfortunately no one could guarantee they'd have time. Pep Boys said they could and would look at and have it ready by the end of the day. So we brought it over and dropped it off around 12:30. About 2 hours later we get a text notice, we were out running errands so we decided to stop by and see if there was any progress only to see the car exactly where we left it. It was 3pm now and we were worried it wouldn't get seen to before closing time but were once again told that it would. This whole time we were talking to a man named Bob who had a very "yeah whatever" attitude, it felt very condecending but we were on a time crunch and didn't have another option so we left again. Came back at 6:30pm after waiting for a phone call that never came, they close at 7pm, it still hadn't been looked at. At this point I was ready to take the car and leave after having the whole day wasted. This time we talked to a guy named Rob who at least wasn't a prick and promised it would get looked at first thing in the morning if we left it with them overnight. We show up 8am the next morning, it's still not in the shop and their mechanic is late. Once again Bob is giving us the run around telling us "we'll get to it". We wait there patiently for an hour and a half, meanwhile other customers are coming in and Bob even steps outside to look at another customers vehicle while he wouldn't step foot away from the counter for ours when we asked to show him the issue. I felt completely ignored and belittled. When my husband tried to speak to another employee to get a concrete answer on if our car would be seen to, Bob overheard and said "you can't keep doing this!". What? We just wanted an honest time frame and when we repeated that he said "I'll call you". At this point I was beyond irritated and pointed out that we never received a call the day before but before I could continue he snapped back with, "do you want to just take your keys and your car somewhere else?!" and thrust the folder with our keys and work order at me. My answer was "yes!". Never again. If it couldn't get worked on then fine, I would have understood, but then JUST SAY SO! Don't string people along with false assurances!

DO NOT GO HERE!! Incompetent mechanics. Brought my car here for tire pressure sensor replacements, only for them to give the car back to me without a working speedometer. Looking so confused when I brought it back, not to mention I wasted my whole day here. My advice is go somewhere we're they can actually do the job asked, terrible value terrible service. Not to mention when I left the shop they couldn't even fix my speedometer, absolutely horrendous ruined my day. DO NOT GO HERE

I brought my vehicle to pep boys on 184 in Groton-mystic for a oil change. After getting my vehicles home I noticed that they never changed my oil filter but did charge me for this. Please be aware if you bring your vehicle to this shop.

They nicked my young daughter for the max cost oil change, taking advantage of her lack of experience. I decided not to do business with them again. Recently I went in (out of convenience) for an oil change for myself. They did the same thing to me - charged for the max cost oil change even though I signed up for a lower cost one. I didn't want to argue but I confirmed at home. I also had to wait 90 minutes and was not told that my car was ready, so no idea how much extra I waited for nothing. I won't go back again.

Simply got the complimentary tire rotation on the nice set of cooper tires we bought last year. Dropped the car off, got a text when it was done. Smooth & easy.
