The Guilford Art Center is a non-profit school, shop and gallery established to nurture and support excellence in the arts. The school annually serves over 2,000 students, from preschool-age to senior citizens, in four semesters of approximately 350 classes, including ceramics, weaving, jewelry, blacksmithing, metalsmithing, glass, drawing, paintings, sculpture, stone carving, pottery, fiber arts and more. The gallery presents juried and invitational exhibits of art in media and is open 7 days a week, free of charge. The Shop features fine, handmade American crafts. Guilford Art Center also presents Craft Expo, an annual event held on the Guilford Green each July featuring 180 artists.
