The Guilford Art Center is a non-profit school, shop and gallery. It offers a wide variety of art and fine, handmade American crafts in its store, which is good for browsing or finding a gift. The art varies in style, with unique jewelry and other items. Pricing is very fair and much of the art is affordable. The center supports local artists and presents juried and invitational gallery exhibits open free of charge. The school serves over 2,000 students annually in many classes, including ceramics, weaving, jewelry, blacksmithing, painting, and more. Classes range across several different styles and are taught by patient instructors who provide in-depth answers. The center is easy to get to, located on Route 77 near I-85 and the Boston Post Road, with no parking issues. The staff is friendly. The center also presents the annual Craft Expo each July.
Really great experience. I’d recommend to anyone interested in getting started in blacksmithing and blade making.

The Gallery has many one of a kind gifts. The holiday expo runs November 14 - January 11th with many artists and crafts people like myself participating.
