My experience with Guilford Walgreen was quite positive. I bought a pill cutter there but forgot to take it with me after paid because my daughter was distracting. A few days later I went back to look for it. No much expectation especially no receipt. The nice manager didn't even doubt anything but just let me take another one directly from shelf with no more pay. My life has been quite stressful, but these little kind things are like medications to mentally comfort and heal

Please please get rid of that male cashier who doesn’t stop talking. He makes me so incredibly uncomfortable that I am not coming back to this store ever again. He appears to make all the other customers uncomfortable too. He makes incredibly inappropriate comments i.e. “but I am a dark and twisted soul so” like I am just trying to buy nail polish for the love of GOD. FIRE HIM.

It’s unfortunate how bad the pharmacy staff has gotten. They are so rude and disrespectful. Don’t try to get your medication before close, because they won’t help you.

Pharmacy awful. Tried to fill three scripts after surgery. They refused with a claim that the scripts were not completed correctly. The scripts were completed by a surgeon with 25 years experience! On top of that, thepharmacy tech was rude beyond belief. We took the scripts to CVS. No problem, filled immediately. I have now switched to CVS.

This store is so poorly run. First off, what’s the story with always running out of bags? At least monthly they tell you, as you’re cashing out, that they are out of bags. So ridiculous. Then, the staff…what can i say. ANNOYING. Most recently they have some loud, annoying, inappropriate, young man who never shuts up and comments on everything. He makes for a TERRIBLE experience. If you ignore him and don’t laugh at his awful jokes, he asks if you’re feeling ok and then tells you your blouse is beautiful. I’ve actually walked in and left without shopping once i walked in and heard his obnoxious voice. He really needs to be isolated. Also,

I have read reviews on this Walgreens location that were not positive at all and disregarded them as a one off until today. I completely understand why people post negative reviews in general… just letting off steam. This is not a “letting off steam” review. I had a prescription called in from my doctor at 10am this morning and called their automated phone system to check on the status. I was informed that it would be ready by 11:45am and called at 12noon to verify but was informed that they were working on it and to call back in an hour. Same scenario an hour later. Since they close for lunch at 1:30pm and reopened at 2pm I thought it would be easier to go there and check on the status. When I arrived at 2:05pm, an employee was walking out and when I politely asked if they were still opening at 2pm, she said they were closed for the day and that I should have come in earlier and that I should have read the closed sign! My prescription is not life threatening but I can’t help but think of others who are in desperate need. I ended up going to CVS who were very helpful, kind and professional. Walgreens is going to lose a lot of customers with the way it is being managed.

Walgreens Pharmacy in Guilford CTCalled the other day and waited on hold for 40 minutes for the Pharmacy and still no one answered. Called twice today and was disconnected both times. Waited a total of 38 minutes. And if you do decided to go down you will be waiting at least a half hour in line. Funny thing is there are people standing around. Worst customer service!

This negative review is exclusively for the pharmacy phone line. I’m regularly placed on hold for nearly 2 hours even though the the automated recording says that there is only 1 caller ahead of me. Then, after being on hold for over 2 hours - they hang up on me without anyone answering. Absolutely unacceptable. It’s worse than calling the DMV. Walgreens - hire someone to answer the phone!!

Worst pharmacy ever. I would still be at CVS if my insurance allowed it! I would give zero stars!

Walgreens Guilford never fails to offer sub par service every day. Aha! the drive thru looks like a great way to pick up a prescription, let me just get in line behind this truck. Fast forward to about 13 minutes ahead and I pull up to the window. Nervously tapping my steering wheel as I notice the clock is at 1:21 p.m. and I see the pharmacy closes sign from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Just under the wire the gal begins by asking me my name. I watch as she heads to the prep table and fills my daughter's script......called in by the doctor a day and a half ago. Returning to the window I cash out and as I begin to drive off I see her "rip" the blinds down covering the window signaling closed for a half hour. As I leave I hear the vehicle's horn on a steady activation as she pulls to the now closed window. There must be a better way to treat your customers.......staggering employee schedules, rotating break times, anything to avoid closing in the middle of the day for something small even as a half hour. I realize how much I treasure my prescription arrivals (by mail order) whenever I need them!

Ive had enough! Goodbye Guilford Walgreens. For several years now, I have given them so many chances and today was it. My doctor called in a script with a specific amount of 20 days due to shortages. Ok, so I realize things happen. So the new girl at the drive-thru last night told me that my doctor did not specifically call in 20 days worth of med. and they could not partial it out unless they call it in that way. So she spoke with the pharmacist in front of me and said your doctor will have to call it in for 20 days. Well' guess what? I called my doctor first thing today and they said they did that already yesterday for 20 days specifically for that exact reason. So Walgreens pretty much was blaming my doctor because they can't keep up with the correct communication provided. So' I called the pharmacy today and magically the script said 20 days worth is ready for pick up. I then realized they were completely untruthful at this point. So, I'm thinking great' it's done. I then drove down for the second time this morning at 9:00 am to find, out' to lunch signs in the drive-thru and inside .I then asked an employee what was going on with the pharmacy. He said they were closed down because they have covid-19. So, I then thought why is the store open at all then?To add to the aggrevation, nobody cared when I simply asked why doesn't the Walgreens app.text me or notify me of anything? I live far north of town and this kind of thing happens at least 6 to 7 times a year of driving back and forth. Well' time give give CVS my business now. BTW, Were a family of 5 , so I'm sure CVS will be glad to take our business.

I've been on hold for over 1 hour and 30 minutes (before they have a lunch break which is scheduled 1:30 - 2PM). That is a ridiculous amount of time, considering I was number #2 in queue. All due to my medication being stuck in the queue for over a week on the Walgreen's app! What is going on? This is the 2nd time this has happened. I may be switching my pharmacies, as my time is valuable as well.

I made my appointment for my shingles shot, took the day off work and when I arrived they told me they did not have any more. I received 2 text from Walgreens to remind me... I asked to call the Westbrook store and see if they could give me one., I was told at 11 o'clock AM they were not opened. Not once did they apologize. To add insult my brother received his shot at CVS and did not pay a Co pay Walgreens told me it would be $40.00 same insurance.

I wish I could give them zero stars. They call and tell you a script is ready and when you go to pick it up, it's not. So you wait. Today, they had me on hold for 56 minutes! I wanted to know when the script my doctor called in 2 days ago would be ready. 56 minutes and they tell me it's not that simple, they have to go into "THE VAULT" to see if they had my meds. They had 2 days to go to "THE VAULT"! Then they put me on hold another 5 minutes and someone else comes on and tells me the pharmacist stepped out. I lost it then. Put me on hold again and in tears I put my husband on because I couldn't deal with them any longer. He was told meds would be ready at 3. I just got a call saying SOME of my meds were ready. Because it's this Walgreens and Friday afternoon, I'm afraid to find out they don't have the meds I was calling about. It's a controlled substance and I can't have it switched to another pharmacy. The doctor has to call it in. Do not go to this pharmacy. As for the rest of this Walgreens, the last time I checked out a few things I bought, the cashier was coughing and sneezing all over the place and when I inserted my card wrong, he grabbed it and put it in himself instead of telling me to put it in the right way. He was the last person that I wanted touching my credit card. I'll never step foot in there again.

The Pharmacy always has issues. My wife gets alerts FROM WALGREENS when our scripts are ready and sends me to pick them, and every time at least one isn't ready or is out of stock or they need to check with the doctor or insurance about something regarding it. Sigh. I get it. Insurance is complex. Prescriptions are tricky. But these are unforced errors. Don't tell me something that's untrue. Bad information is worse than none at all.
