We later learned that Kim’s background as a nurse has clearly shaped the way she cares for families. Her compassion extends far beyond logistics. She thoughtfully guided us through decisions we never wanted to have to make, offering recommendations that honored this child’s unique life and circumstances, including helping us find an appropriate cemetery and coordinating beautiful floral arrangements. What I’ll remember most is the way Kim cared not only for the child we were honoring, but also for those of us carrying the responsibility of planning the service. She repeatedly reminded my colleagues and me that our hearts were in the right place and that our efforts mattered. Those words may seem small, but during an incredibly heavy time, they meant more than I can express. The service itself was beautiful. The funeral home is immaculate, modern, and thoughtfully designed, creating a peaceful environment for remembrance. Every member of the staff was attentive, respectful, and quietly ensured that everything unfolded seamlessly. They allowed us to focus on honoring this young life instead of worrying about the countless details behind the scenes. I sincerely hope I never find myself in a position where I need to plan another child’s funeral. But if I ever need funeral services for a loved one, personally or professionally, I would not hesitate to return to Prospect Memorial.
