Very bitter and middle aged lady ringing us out needs an attitude check. First time shopping at Joann since there isn’t one near me. Definitely an experience ruined. Me and a friend were doing two transactions just shared a cart and spoke to my friend in such a rude way for no reason. Having an attitude like that at such an old age is wild.

There is an employee who speaks Spanish who is very rude, she does not have the ability to serve people well.

In the last few weeks, I tried twice Togo to Joann Fabrics around 6pm. The first time someone was locking the door early and said we are closed. The second time they were closed and there were 2 other people thinking the same as me. Why? There is a sign on the door for part time help. Oh well, off to Michael’s in North Haven. Actually the prices are better there.

It was really disorganized, the staff very unfriendly, and the store smelled awful! I couldn't keep myself there for more than 5 min. Honestly, I preferred to drive to another farther store rather than return to this one.

The store was disheveled, there was garbage around the store. The app and store didn’t have stock accuracy. App had a product but in store oversold. Damage on a lot of product I considered buying. Shipment was in whole aisles and couldn’t make my way through with my 3 year old who is trying to climb boxes, unsuccessfully. Absolutely no coworkers, I get it, it’s 2024 all retailers are scrambling to save money but at least 1 CW to at least help out on the floor. A hard one with this store, it’s either you order pick up and come in and be disappointed with either waiting for the person to find your order (which they seem like they can’t find, ever) which half has been cancelled (and they don’t refund your money) or you can tell the person who picked them is lazy and can’t ask anyone where the items are (because you walk in and pick them up for yourself) OR you can come in and trip over future product and wander aimlessly in an empty and disheveled store leaving with 1-5 items. The cashier was so passive and I don’t blame them due to the environment they are working in, junk all around them, freezing cold air from outside blowing in, customer extremely frustrated due to the appearance of the store and mislabeled prices, they can’t even find a shred of enthusiasm for the customer to even ask about coupons or membership. Not sure what happened, I can see running your floor with a minimum but in this day and age when customer service is going to be what makes money in your brick, invest in at least a base number of hours per employee for that purpose.

I have never in my life seen such a trashed Joann's. Literally. There was trash on the ground everywhere, products mixed up, shelves mostly empty, and lots of workers standing around doing nothing. I thought it was inventory day or something, but this isn't the first time.It legitimately makes me sad.

Every time I try to come here there’s some hand written note on the door saying what time they’re closing today. The other day it was 7, today it’s 6, and I’m sick of driving over here to never be able to get into the store. Why are the hours always different? The last time I asked an employee they said “because we want to”. Seems a bit ridiculous to me. If the store hours are changed there should be an online way of some sort to communicate this.

Every time I shop here, I tell myself never again. Why? Well they never have any shopping carts available, the place is always a mess, there's always tons of things out of stock, and the employees seem like they'd rather be getting a root canal than working here. Yet as a crafter, my options are limited because I refuse to shop at Joann's main competitor down in East Haven for political reasons. So here I am, once again looking for fabrics for my next quilt. Fortunately, I know how to shop the sales and maximize the coupons to my benefit enough to find what I need. I'm not quite organized enough to plan ahead and order things from better sources online, so when I need, I keep coming back here. I keep hoping that upper management can get this (and all the other Joann stores out there) turned around so it's a more pleasant customer experience.

Beware of shopping at Joann online. My husband placed a fairly large order with them, and a week had passed and he never got an email confirmation for the order, or any sort of notification that the items shipped. Finally he called customer service only to have them tell him that the order was completely cancelled because one of the items was out of stock. Had he not called, no one would have told him this information as he did not receive any emails or communication from them telling him this. Long story short he placed a new order with them over the phone which took about an hour of his time. So what happened next? They sent him the order twice!!! And charged him for both orders, Even though they assured him the first one was cancelled. When he spoke to customer service again about this problem and how it was their fault, they did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation and told him to send the other order back. OK, so waste more time by having to package up that other order and go to the post office for them… Yeah OK. They’ve lost a customer, my husband will not be going back. We have spent a ton of money with them over the last year, you think they would treat their loyal customers better. We will be going to Michael’s from now on.

I went to Hamden store to get but 20 yds of material and was refused ti make one simple cut with no explanation the woman walked away from me and said I could buy it but she won’t cut it

This store is the worst jo Ann the manager is rude this people in there don’t want to help black people of people of color they will ignore you and walk off they will help there own but when it come to person of color they are so rude I have had so many situations in there any it made me feel uncomfortable I told the manager and she just walked away she is rude as well as the workers in there

Had a great experience shopping. Tynaja was super kind and helpful with coupons and assisting me. Store was clean and organized. Lots of products available.
