Went for Emissions test. Not too long a wait as was late Saturday and there was a line ahead of me. Took about an hour.
Didn't use rest of store services.

Daniel and the team at PepBoys are AMAZING!!! Daniel went above and beyond with the services that was provided. Car maintenance is such an inconvenience and always unexpected, so to have a team that provides A-1 service, you can be confident that your vehicle will receive all the attention and detail it deserves. I had received a wheel alignment right before Christmas preparing for a long road trip. I had just replaced the front WHEELS AND RIMS hours before the alignment. About 3 months later, my tire exploded. i did some internet and word of mouth research. Almost everyone i asked including the Pep Boys works told me “uneven ware.’ both front wheels on the inside are bare after 3 months later? At this caliber? not a chance!
i had asked for what we could do since my tire popping was supposed to be impossible after a new set, alignment, and inspection. Was told to get new tires on and then they could help me, but they won’t help me with what i had lost due to errors on their part.
GO TO TOWN FAIR TIRE IF YOU NEED TIRES OR ALIGNMENT!!!!
They are cheaper, warmer inside, and better customer service when it comes to customer understanding.

Larry was beyond amazing . I brought my car in first thing this AM to see what was going on with it. Larry from the beginning of day until the end of his shift had the best attitude and sense of humor. He got everything all straightened out with my warranty and now I feel soo much better driving my car. Larry amplifies what great customer service means! Thank you Larry for making this a pleasant experience!!

I have a greater appreciation for Pepbous after my visit. They diagnosed, gave suggestions/advice, and repaired my vehicle. No upselling, great explanation, and my car is back on the road. Thank you Pepboys. You’ve gained a return customer.

I have been going to PepBoys for about over 14 years and the only reason I keep returning to the Hamden location is because of Larry. He listens, treats everyone with respect and very welcoming. I believe because of him this location is a success. I used to live on the shoreline moved to the Avon area and I still bring all of our vehicles to the Hamden location. Thank you again Larry for always taking care of my family vehicles.

I had a terrible experience at the Pep Boys Hamden location. I came in for tire balancing, and after being told to wait, I ended up sitting there for over 5 hours. When the advisor finally came to me, he casually told me that my car was fine, without actually doing anything. When I asked him why, he simply said, "I can't do it, I'm busy." To make matters worse, the lady at the counter was incredibly unhelpful and rude. The next day, I went to the Orange store, and they handled it with no problem at all. I will definitely not be returning to Pep Boys Hamden.

Danielle, Scott, and Larry have always done a good job of explaining and showing me exactly what needs to be repaired and why. They’ve been very honest about what needs to be done immediately, and how long I should wait for non urgent repairs.
I like that the inspection report includes pictures.

Poor communication. Oil change took two hours.
