DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANYTHING! Where to begin with this nightmare? I made an appointment a week ago to get my tires replaced. I ordered the specific tires online and received a confirmation. So why is it that after 2 hours of waiting I'm told they don't have my tires in stock. Apparently they sold out 2 days ago. At no point in the last 2 days did anyone call to tell me this (though in my opinion if you're placing an order online, aren't you assuming they've been set aside for you?). And Larry, who checked me in, apparently didn't bother to check to make sure they were in stock. During the 2 hours I waited I witnessed an employee asking everyone what they came in for. Why? Shouldn't jobs get done in the order of appointments and walk-ins accordingly? Apparently not. Did I also mention that the quote you recieve confirmation of online isn't necessarily the cost savings youre going to pay in the store. Sure it might only be $30 extra, but do confirmation emails mean anything anymore? Not at PepBoys! They don't have to quote the right price or even have the product you ordered in stock. While I was ready to walk at the 2 hour mark, I was convinced to go with a different tire, that was comparable, and offered free installation to at least match my original order. Ok. That was nice. HOWEVER, wouldn't you now prioritize me since I've already been waiting for 2 hours? Nope! People who came in after me, WITHOUT an appointment (confirmed through conversations) came and left before me. The lights in the waiting room got turned out, as I sat in darkness (it got switched back on when they realized i was still sitting there). In total I waited 4.25 hours to get my car back. I was the very last one. I get it, labor can sometimes be hard to come by. But that shouldn't be an excuse for the ill treatment and long waits. When finally checking out I calmly mentioned that it would have been nice to have been prioritized considering they screwed up and I was told that not only are they short staffed but that the guy working on my car was also multi tasking on 2 other cars and since their jobs were easier they got the priority. How do you like that? If I could give this place zero stars I would. Absolutely disgusting. Not only would I never come back to the Hamden branch, I would never risk going to any other PepBoys again. Don't waste your time coming here.

This place is HORRIBLE so not go here. They are scammers and should be shut down especially the bogus manager who literally does nothing but sit on his (phat) you know what. They have inexperienced workers and will mess your car up to get more money. The worst tire shop in Connecticut for sure!

The customer service was exemplary.I was updated on the progress of my vehicle in a timely manner.due to an issue requiring my vehicle to stay,a Lyft ride was provided for my return home and the next day to return. Pep boys is always my choice for issues involving my vehicle

All 4 tires changed and a wheel alignment within 2 hours! Got a text and phone call letting me know my car was ready. Excellent customer service and great prices.

I had a few terrible snuffs with BJ’s tire center where they cancelled my appointments without a reason whatsoever. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I wasn’t disappointed Pepboys were what I was looking for. Great service - honest, prompt, polite, and efficient.

I got a flat tire and came here to have the flat repaired. For starters I made an appointment at 8 am but when I got there was told there’s only 1 line and I wasn’t helped until about 8:30am- so what was the point in making an online appointment. Second I was told it would take an hour and a half so I got back at that time and still waited another 30 min for them to tell me that they couldn’t repair my flat and I would need a new tire. Lee I’m mind I got my complimentary analysis of what was wrong about an hr after I brought my car in so clearly they were aware of this but did not tell me until about 2 hrs after the car was initially looked at. On top of that I couldn’t just repair one tire I HAD to buy 2 tires for $300. I ended up having the team put the spare on and went somewhere else where they WERE able to patch up my tire. Overall, did not like my experience here and it just seemed like they were trying to find a way to charge me extra.

I'm am currently waiting on my car. You probably shouldn't offer appointments if you can't start working on the car at that time or close to it. 2-2.5 hours for an oil change and 4.5 hours for new tires (3 separate visits) is outrageous when you've made an appointment! The JD Power and Assoc. website states it should take about 40 minutes to install new tires. Too busy to get to my preferred place so I waited. Never again. I gave 3 opportunities. I'm all set. Edit: It took them another 20+ minutes after I received a message it was ready to get my car and leave.
