They never have the sales ring up correctly at the register. They want to farm everyone to self checkout while 5 associates stand and talk and then you have to beg for a price fix. Definitely the worst shoprite I've been to

Produce is typically hit or miss double check your berries and always check expiration dates on yogurts FIFO doesn't seem to be practiced much. Staff most of the time is friendly,they have fairly new grocery carts, and fair prices. Almost always find what I need but can use brushing up on practices.

ShopRite Pharmacy provided me with COVID vaccines. My health has been improving ever since. Sometimes it takes a welcoming person to open a door that was closed. Thank you for the kind service.

Jennifer in the curbside p/u dept is AMAZING!! I called to make sure I wasn't charged for an item I didn't receive. The itemized invoice is a little confusing. She said I wasn't charged and I trusted that answer so we hung up. 2 mins later she calls back and said, after we hung up, I looked again to double check and you WERE charged for the item. I'll credit your card and you should see it in 3-5 business days. If you don't, give me a call and I'll take care of it. I absolutely told her mngr Chris about this exchange and how blessed he is to have her because she didn't have to exude such efficiency and stellar c.s. He says they have an Emp Recognition Program and SHE needs to be recognized for going above and beyond!

I went here on Monday because there was a sale on chickens. The sale price was $1.29 lb. In the case there was 1 chicken with the sale price tag and 1 without. I went to the butcher to see if this could be marked down with the sale price but the butcher said that it was a managers special instead of the sale price and refused to mark this down. I've never really had a good experience in this store and this was the last straw.

Staff here is dreadful. The guy who is overseeing the bottle return station is the worst employee I have ever had the displeasure of having to interact with. He lets people wait outside (which is completely reasonable with this pandemic) but then comes out to say that those who have been waiting outside for a great amount of time cannot return their bottles and should return at 9AM. Those who are busy taking care of patients all day can't tell patients oh wait, the ShopRite of Hamden told us to let you suffer while we go return our bottles. I should have either been told at 6:30 or allowed to go when the other person had finished at 7. This was a horrible disappointment which has forever tarnished my image of this store.

I can fine mostly what i need at this store. It's clean. I miss the music the west haven shop rite store use to play while you shop! People of ashl races will be singing down the aisles!

The tag in front of this says $2.99 and it rung up $3.99, the cashier tells another cashier “she wants this for for $2.99 when the sku doesn’t match, when there’s a row of them.

As a person with mobility issues,I am very grateful for the staff at Shoprite. Their motorized scooters are usually working and charged, unlike stop and stop which has hardly any scooters. Forget being charged. Unlike a previous reviewer, I haven't found the store to be overly messy, except in produce. However, that's usually from customers shocking corn and leaving the leaves on the floor or "sampling" the fruit and spilling the remaining. No dept can keep up with that. I get a little annoyed when the available brands change and Omg, don't order delivery. A 60 dollar order became 80, because they contract out delivery to a firm that charges outrageous up charges. However, I can live with that because it's so easy to shop there.
