The golf course looks a lot better now. But what's with the name change? Laurel View was a much better name. The VUE? How do people even say that?

Be careful, on a busy day, like today, they evidently offer a squeeze time to certain people. The starter put a 4some in between tee times that caused us to be 15 minutes late and wait on every hole. Been playing golf for 40 years, never heard of a squeeze time.

My buddy and I played today and were pleasantly surprised. Night and day from a couple years ago. Not only was the course in great shape (better than some expensive courses recently) but the staff was super nice and welcoming. Obviously still updating and in the middle of construction but you can tell it’s moving in the right direction. We’ll be back!

What a huge difference from a few years ago. They are in the process of taking this golf course to the next level. Fairways, Tee boxes and greens are in great shape. Plenty of challenge on the course. Lots of trees (LOTS) removed over the past couple years - so much so that some holes are almost unrecognizable!! Great job all around.

Very disappointing site although some decent holes on course. Expected a lot more for the price. The cart paths used to be asphalt and are now literally crumbling apart and many are just dirt and rock.

I can’t say enough good things about LV. The course seems to always be in great shape. The main building is under a major renovation while the course itself is 100% playable. Greens are near impeccable in my opinion. Good mix of blind tee shots, sloped fairways, and very parable holes. This is not the kind of course that feels redundant. Food is great. Staff is great. Rates are extremely reasonable considering the financial investment ownership is making to create a premier experience.

Most cart paths are in terrible shape. Greens and fairways are in very good condition and well maintained. Variety of different holes. Please note that course is very hilly. They are spending $$$$$ on what looks will be a beautiful banquet facility. Heard from management after I played and they are aware that they need to put some money into the cart paths and the course.

Greens and fairways are in great shape. However this place has no right charging 80$ for 18. There’s bunkers everywhere and half of them are filled with dirt. Also, have no rakes anywhere on the course. The cart paths are brutal. If “The Vue” wants to charge 80 for a round they should make it a. 80$ course.

The new VUE It’s going to be exceptional. It wasn’t all the way down and still wonderful. The owner was pleasant and the food was sooooo good Do not expect banquet food above and beyond

6.5 hour round. Unbelievably slow with no ranger in sight. No beverage cart. Irrigation was so poor that there was standing water in low areas while the high areas were so dry that taking a divot would bring up a cloud of dust.Best things you could say are that despite the greens being inconsistent throughout the course they were fair, and the course has scenic views.

Laurel viewPlayed on December 26th 9am. Two days after snow and heavy rain. The wind is hauling as regular. The course was wet but in great shape for winter condition in CT.Tony Roberto is the man in charge, PGA pro who’s given the task to rescue this degrading course. He is taken, still taking care over grown trees and roots which has caused damage to the fairways and green. They also had provide unnecessary shade to the greens. There is plenty of urgent work completed. But Tony has long path including renovating the club house. The new white sand in traps are in, the grass growing looks healthier and the course has been in better shape then in 10 years. The only part is the wood chips are spread out some courses but that’s understandable when course is getting over hauled The local golfers I played with, are already singing praise. The course design is interesting with elevation changes playing through ledges and hills. Elevation changes makes 160y plays to 190y and then hauling wind that affects the course.. all part of great design. Wind really affect Hole 6, 7, 9, 16, 17 and 18. 7 and 9 reminded me old course which shares greens. Another great move was taking down trees on 18th to risk reward 300yard dog leg left. Lot of work has been performed and lot more work is cut out for Tony. This time he has resources to make right renovation by summer 2022 to a completely new course. I think Tony is the right person to take on this challenge. I am very excited to play renovates course in summer of 2022.
