“While there used to be a Salvation Army where I live (Vernon, now closed forever), I know there are still other stores like these scattered all over CT.

I trekked to Hamden earlier this year and when I went here, they had some cool stuff.

I found a couple of good things that I liked. The clothing selection is decent, book selections are a little iffy. There's literally so much space that could be used to keep merchandise in these areas. Service is really good.

I think this Salvation Army is better than other ones I've been to.”

“Cute!! Tons of bottles & some cool colored (low stemmed) champagne glasses. I came here expecting ALOT of different kinds of objects and was impressed with the snacks and glassware :) they do have a food section & idk this tickled my fancy. Also pink glass is hard to find & I didn't buy any today but quite a bit of it here!!”

“A friend of mine told me about this place, and I need to hit him up and thank him. I brought in a bunch of clothing donations and ended up buying a bunch of stuff while I was there. There is so much I loved and the prices are very fair, and the owner and people that work there are wicked awesome.
100% will be coming here many more times in the future. ?”

“There was an incredible variety of items and everything was more than fairly priced. Right next door they also have furniture - can't wait to come back. The staff even gave my niece a gift!”

“Super friendly store owner!! Beautiful collection of jewelry, art, clothes, and trinkets. Very beautiful gallery in the back as well as assorted scent items and jewelry. Prices were very reasonable and the store owner was very open to negotiating, I got some crazy steals!! Highly recommended and would totally come again.”

“This is a solid Goodwill. Came here a few months ago and they have great prices. It's a solid pick. There IS a Savers also on Boston Post with arguably a better catalog, but this is by far the most organized Goodwill I've been to.”

“Note: updated hours (not sure when they changed). This photo is from 12/11/2025. The hours are now 10a-7p Mon-Sat and 10a-6p Sunday.

This is one of my favorite thrift stores in the area. It’s small, but the selection is wide, the staff are friendly, and the quality is high.”

“Used to avoid, but much better now and highly recommend!

I was pleasantly surprised when I was back recently, in an age where a reasonable thrift price is nigh impossible to find this one particular ReStore has really gotten it together. Night and day difference from the way it used to be and most of the other places I've been to- prices are actually quite good for a place that clearly takes a lot of pride in accurately figuring out what donated items are before setting them out, the floor and registers are clean, even the organization seems to be improved. The building HAS to be under new management or something and it's entirely for the better.

It's crazy to think that now this place is something I'd earnestly recommend to friends, but the transformation is so pronounced I both recognize how good of a spot it is and really want to see it do well. Will be back in the future for sure!”

“Great drop-off center for clothing that you want to give or donate. Just drive up. Gentleman comes out. Takes it out of your car. No hassle, even an underhang if it was raining”

“The people at Goodwill were really helpful when I arrived with a car load full of things to donate. The donation center is on the side and there is parking right in front of the door. A staff member brought over a cart and helped me unload. They did not take a container store closet organizer because they "had no was to display it."they took everything else. Easy experience.”

“I found some really pretty tops. It's always an adventure in Savers. You never know what you'll find. This location is large and well stocked with almost everything except the women's shoes 9-9.5 and up. But you go in with the mindset not expecting to find anything. Then if you do, it's a great visit.”

“I called 4 other goodwill locations before I learned that this one recycles scrap fabrics. Very happy about that! Heading there now to bring my bag of scraps. I spoke to Eric, he was very pleasant. I also like that this location is not too big, or too small. It’s a nice size with a good home/kitchen selection.”
