The “Other” option did not work when I called. It kept saying they did not get my response when I had entered the right number or the right verbal response.

Dropped off some packages on a Monday and tracking usually updates a few hours later or the day after. Only one of my packages did not update and I went to figure out why. A lady at the front asked for the tracking receipt when the she knew I dropped it off on that Monday because I was the only customer there at around 1pm and she was the only one working at the front. I didn’t realize I had to expect them to lose my package for her to ask for a receipt when my packages were already prepaid and I can just drop them off. She kept telling me to wait a few days and would not offer me some compensation for her not scanning and losing my package. Although, the other packages were fine and up to date. Very careless worker.

I've lived here for three years and I've never had anything but good experiences here. The staff is courteous and efficient. It would be nice if they were open later but that's true of a lot of things.

So just like the two reviews before me that was left a year ago, the guy is still not wearing a mask or gloves and coughing everywhere. We had to take our newborn in for passport application and didn't feel safe at all. If my newborn catches covid, i guess I know who to blame. Mask was required since aug 31

I’m not even sure why this place is open! For it to be one of the busiest locations in Hamden you’d think their operating hours would be more accommodating! The ONLY post office I know that opens at 9 on a Saturday and then have the nerve to close at 12!!! Just stay closed! ?

I like them, but I’d rather they didn’t do weekend delivery at all. Whatever part timers they hire for weekends simply don’t care about delivering mail or packages. Every single time something is supposed to come on a Saturday, they don’t even try to deliver. Our mailboxes are in the back of the building - there is no front entrance. They don’t want to walk around the corner, so they just give up, it gets sent back to the warehouse, and I have no idea if I’ll ever see it again.Fire these people, please. They’re not doing the bare minimum.

This genuinely is my favorite post office. The wait times are usually fairly short, and every staff member is incredibly nice and friendly. I come here multiple times a week to send out packages for my small business. I’ve tried some other post offices in the area too but always come back to this one!

We are moving and I’m singing hallelujah because we are never having to deal with this post office again!!! They lose packages left and right and never scan them for the tracking. Constantly losing money on my online business because of these sorry lazy workers because buyers demand money back because they never received the item. The tracking never goes past Hamden. We will NEVER miss you ! Get your act together!

Linda was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She assisted my daughter I with sending things off for our Loved ones. Words can barely express my gratitude! Thank you so much Linda! We need more essential workers like you!

Went in today to mail a couple of packages. The postal worker behind the desk was not wearing a mask or gloves. There are plastic barriers, but it seems to me he was not following regulations and a plastic barrier is not enough to ensure safety.Additionally, a woman came in with no mask on and proceeded to cough and touch surfaces in the post office. The office is too small to keep a proper distance from anyone making this especially difficult and uncomfortable having TWO people without masks in such a tiny, enclosed environment. The postal worker did not address her lack of a mask, though I am not surprised considering he was not wearing one either.I think I'll drive out to the Post Office on Dixwell and see if the workers there are following guidelines. I understand CT COVID rates are low, but people are failing to realize that they are low because of mask and social distance guidelines and that two, without a vaccine or any type of medication to treat this virus that it is still spreadable and still deadly. I have already lost one family member to this disease, I would hate to think that I contracted something in this office and passed it on to another family member and to end in the same result. I'm leaving this review as a warning to anyone who enters here. I will be calling USPS next to report this office.

Something weird today. There was a mail clerk I had never seen at the post office. He was not wearing a mask or gloves. Couldn’t quite understand this. I really thought masks were a requirement. I waited until I could use the gentleman following the regulations.
