I take a lot of medications (17 or 18). I had a kidney transplant and will lose the kidney if miss one dose of my immunosuppressants. I have had several conversations with the pharmacist, the most responsive one was a "floater". My meds are often (actually always) not ready when I go there, and they fail to tell me what is going on, so I have to wait while they scramble to get them ready, this is despite an automated call from them to me saying they are ready. They won't allow me to speak to the pharmacist, which makes it very hard to get what I need. The people that work in the pharmacy other than the pharmacist, are rude, condescending and noncommunicative. Today, for instance I need 3 of my medications refilled, but I will have to go there to explain what I need. Their online system would be great, except they have some very old information about me and I cannot get approved for this system. They have done nothing to help me despite mentioning this several times. I cannot be exposed to crowds of people, due to my immune status, but they either do not care, or can't be bothered. I don't know what the problem is?? I can't get a straight answer. If I cannot get the help that I need and deserve, I will find a different pharmacy. It is incredibly frustrating, because this is the 4th or 5th pharmacy I have tried. One is worse than the next. I am forced into using this one or shoprite to get a break on the cost through Medicare, so my options are limited. Why won't the pharmacist talk to me? She acts as if she has no idea who I am and won't give me the time of day. Any suggestions would be great!

This Walmart pharmacy is consistently reliable and its staff from pharmacist to tech are very helpful and congenial. A pleasure to work with. I love that they text me when my prescriptions are ready.

I called ahead to make sure the pharmacy had my insurance information to process a prescription the doctor called in. Walmart pharmacy said it was verified and my prescription was available to pick up. It just so happened the day I came in to pick up my prescription was a national holiday. The cashier requested my insurance card and after viewing it, proceeded to tell me I did not have prescription insurance. I gave the cashier and pharmacist the number to contact my insurance and they stated my insurance company was closed (which I knew was not true). When I insisted I did have insurance coverage, the pharmacist and cashier requested I verify my own coverage. The last time I checked that was the job of a technician and/or the pharmacist. After waiting 30 minutes, I ended up paying full price (which wasn't much) because I needed the medication and wanted to avoid wasting any more time. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this pharmacy as the pharmacist and staff behave as if they are too busy to assist customers or even make a profit for the company they work for... After making a formal complaint with Walmart, the pharmacist actually contacted me the following day to inform me my insurance coverage went through and they owed me a refund because I overpaid - go figure! I was going to take them up on my refund, but decided to let them keep it so they could possibly make up for lost business and train new pharmacy technicians...

The pharmacist Lori is great, very responsive and competent, very polite as well. The pharm techs there are rude and incompetent, and have no phone etiquette.

I am with Dave Hinchey! I think the 'senior' pharmacy staff is outstanding and the younger, newer staff members are doing a good job. About a year ago I had a significant reaction to a new Rx my doctor prescribed. The doctor I saw at the office (my doctor was not in) told me to stop taking the Rx immediately and prescribed and called in a new Rx. I then went to the Hamden pharmacy to pick up the prescription. Rob told me that he needed to check with my doctor for an OK since that new Rx was not compatible with the other Rx I was taking. I told him that I was taken off that within the psst hour and would not be taking it. He said that he wanted to get confirmation from the doctor. While I had to wait a little longer, I appreciated his professional conscientiousness. I also get my flu shot at Hamden Walmart pharmacy.

Rob and the pharmacy staff are awesome! They really take care of me!! I'm a huge fan of Rob, Laura, Lauren, Shade (spelling?). They're a joy to work with and have always been so good to me. I won't go anywhere else even though I moved 20 minutes away. The service is that good!! Thanks for all you do guys!

I have called the pharmacy dozens of times today about a prescription. I am put on hold for over 10 minutes, then the call is lost. I am told someone will be right with me, and I end up on a blank hold again. This has happened throughout the day. Just wanted to share this - take your business elsewhere if you can. I certainly will.
