The apartments are gorgeous and all, but what has made this experience so great is the people who truly care about the residents here. I want to give a shout out to Jannette Jurado, the community manager. She goes out of her way to accommodate and take care of everyone. On top of that, she is extremely sweet and caring- whenever I have a concern or a question she is there to help. Another shout out to Clarissa Heredia, who helped me through the entire application process and made my move so smooth and stress-free. These ladies are absolutely killing it! I’d recommend this apartment complex any day.

Recently moved into Colt, and I couldn’t be happier. Clarissa guided me through the entire process and made it so easy, I highly recommend her and this complex! Clean, great community, good parking, the list goes on.

Although I will not be renting here, I have to write a review for my great experience with Clarissa. She went above and beyond to help me weigh all options and made sure all my questions were answered thoroughly. Thanks Clarissa!!

The apartments are beautiful and affordable. I give it 2 stars because the security in the parking lot is a joke. 3 cars had their windows broken into and security was nowhere to be found. Nor did they notice that car alarms were going off all night.Management told me they’d talk to upper management about notifying residents of the break ins and they still haven’t delivered.Opt for a complex with garage parking or real security if you care about your car and need to live in Hartford.Update- I’ve moved out of state but while I was still living there 10+ cars were broken into after my break in

10/10Colt Gateway is in a great location, a little outside the main city center but still within reach + close enough to the highway. Clarissa + staff are awesome. Everyone is super helpful, responsive, and understanding. The apartments are extremely spacious with high ceilings and huge windows (and they open!), large kitchens with new appliances, and great air flow. Bathrooms / fixtures are all very new and the apartment itself is solid. If you're facing east, you'll get a LOT of sun, you won't even need an alarm clock (or to really use the heater in the winter.. this is a good thing)This was honestly the best apartment I've seen in the city, especially for the price. The community is really friendly and with the brewery downstairs, Colt park within walking distance, the soccer stadium around the block, and the Riverwalk just around the corner, its the best spot I could find in the city. The neighborhood is quite safe, there are a few schools in the area and some businesses within the Colt complex, so there are people in the area during the daytime and security in the parking lot at night.I know there is additional development going on to add storefronts on the ground floor which will be a game changer, as one of the only downsides is that there aren't a whole lot of stores/ groceries / food spots (other than the brewery) within walking distance.

Clarissa/Jannette at the office have been super helpful and responsive. They're not only professional but also knowledgeable in what they do. It truly helps tenants in many ways. For me, after visiting eight different apts in Hartford, I ended up here because of how knowledgeable they were of each available apt versus other apt management office workers that knew very little of their available apt (including floor plans etc). I also needed immediate help with keys - where I received a reply in maybe 2 minutes or less. Things have been smooth here at colt gateway!

I was thrilled with every aspect of my experience with Colt Gateway. From the initial walk-through to the end of my lease, Clarissa at the Leasing Office was incredibly helpful, friendly, constantly a joy and always responsive. The building itself is well kept and the residents are all friendly. Living at Colt Gateway has definitely spoiled me and I don't anticipate I will ever find another complex as enjoyable as Colt.

I have lived at many locations in Hartford and Colt Gateway is by far the best value. The property provides tenants with a clean, safe, and affordable luxurious place to live. The best qualities about this property are the parking, apartment amenities and and convenience (the property is located near all major highways!) In addition, the property manager is always available to assist and the maintenance staff is very responsive. I have been extremely satisfied with my choice to live at Colt. I highly recommend.

Avoid the North Armory at all costs. We have spent the last 9 months living with leaks through the ceiling, windows, and even the walls. Very poor communication about what's being done to repair these issues (if anything). Emails from management even include weird comments such as "we ask that you do not communicate this information with anyone not [on] your lease" (we signed a lease, not an NDA). Some issues have been addressed - we had condensation on two drainage pipes and the team eventually insulated the pipes for us. Nonetheless, there are still basic things not getting done reliably, including cleaning and mopping of common areas (for a time over the summer, the hallway outside our apartment was filthy, and it now is again). The attached pictures are issues that we're still dealing with months after notifying management. Management had to give us a portable dehumidifier to prevent condensation on the ceiling (!!!) in the winter months in one room, which would then drip onto the floor and our furnishings. Finally, the amenities are essentially non-existent: one small gym that includes a damaged elliptical machine and two ancient treadmills. It's a shame, because the tall windows, high ceilings, brewery/cafe on-site all have potential, and the location close to the river path and walking distance to Front Street and Downtown is great. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the North Armory due to the complete incompetence of the management and maintenance teams.

I lived at Colt for about 4 years and it was great! Studio apartments, looking back were smaller but perfect if you work downtown or are single and don't need much space. Other layouts like the loft or 2 bedrooms are super cool with the modern and industrial vibe, most with great views of Dillon Stadium or downtown buildings. Huge perks include the Thomas Hooker Taproom downstairs on the ground level, which has full service food, snacks, and can even do catering. I miss getting my weekly breakfast burrito on Fridays! Colt is also pet friendly with a monthly pet fee and deposit, many tenants have cats or dogs. Property management is amazing also, and always so friendly! They treated tenants to a variety of events throughout the year including holiday parties, and hosted the annual open studio art shows right in the building. Some say it may be pricey, yes but you pay for the experience and the amenities that come with it, without the chaos of living right downtown and having more privacy in charter oak.

Colt gateway is a nice place to live, walking distance to downtown but far enough to be out of city congestion during the afternoon rush. Compared to the surrounding complexes its price per sqft is the lowest while still maintaining its upscale feel. It is a unique building due to its rich history in manufacturing and the colt family Heritage.

Very friendly staff that are always attentive to any issues that arise. Building is kept very clean and feels safe. Great location if you work in Hartford. Always plenty of parking, and lots of space for bike storage on each floor. Workout equipment could use an update, but is always accessible.
