Applied for access membership with my state issued husky card from social services and snap card. Zack denied it even though it’s what the state gives for insurance cards and we are husky A. He was very rude on the phone. Have checked with other moms who have confirmed this is our health insurance card and they work at museums. Not sure why we’re being excluded would love to talk to someone who sounds more knowledgeable.

Amazing! So much to do and very kid friendly. Highly recommend. Convenient parking though the spots are a tight squeeze.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while but it keeps slipping from my mind. My son is fascinated with anything science. He also likes to travel so for his birthday, I decided to drive 3 hours for him to experience this science center. It was huge and had so many interactive exhibits for him to play with. At the time, he wanted to be a meteorologist and he really enjoyed pretending to be a weatherman. The food court was reasonably priced and actually tasted good. We really enjoyed the center and the views. I would definitely recommend bringing your children here.

Went here while visiting Connecticut on work. Exterior architecture is what drew me in! I said wow that building looks dope! I enjoyed the exhibits especially the reptile/amphibians exhibits. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable (the one red tail boa weighs 44lbs). I had fun making my own weather forecast and seeing myself in 360°. This place is fun for all ages the only set back about this place is there’s no SUBMARINE!! (Pittsburgh has submarine). After going through everything we went to the subway on the first floor and the food there was good too. Overall a good place for anyone looking for something fun to do in Connecticut (fun is hard to find in CT) that is all !

Easily spent 3 hrs here and it was definitely worth it. It was filled with many hands on and busy activities and there's so much to do. My advice is start at the top and work your way down through the floors and exhibits with your last stop being the water explore area. It was tough with so many camp groups there, that's our only frustration. It was hard to have our own children wait in line for turns when larger camp groups of kids aren't being watched closely or told to let others have turns by their chaperones, and are pushing past our children (literally my youngest children were pushed) or do not do the hands on activities appropriately. I fully support camp groups and schools to attend but it ruins it for individual families a bit. Otherwise it was really fun for our family! Next time, we would call ahead to see if camps were attending the day we would go before we buy our tickets again. Parking cost us $7 and we packed our own lunches :) Gift shop was stocked, subway and Cafe foods available with areas to sit and eat. Plenty of hand sanitizer stations and bathrooms were clean and easy to find.

Had an amazing time!!! There is so much to do for kids and adults alike :D and everything is constantly maintained and cleaned by the staff!- buy tickets in advance so fast check in (tickets sent to your email)- free admission for one child and one accompanying adult with proof of CT residency (only summer time I believe, part of the Summer Activities of CT)When me and my daughter went the other day, there was a fire alarm and the whole building had to evacuate. The staff did a great job at handling it and we were back inside the science center in less than 20min

Been here several times with my kids. It’s a fun place for kids of all ages, but especially for school age kids who are curious about learning new things. The building has a cool design and some spectacular views of the river. Each level has a different theme and the staff are always so courteous and helpful. The lady working at the monster drawing tables in the DNA/genetics side of the exhibit was so patient with each kid in explaining the same thing over and over. The staff at the ticketing area were also very helpful in explaining discounts that I never knew I qualified for. Kids and adults can easily spend hours here!

I purchased my parking pass & entry tickets online to save time. This is very nice place. I went with a small group on a school field trip. Was very busy but so many things to keep kids occupied, lots of hands on displays & interactive stations. There are a number of live animals in enclosed habitats to see & read about. My advice bring your lunch because subway gets too busy, we waited almost 40 minutes in line to order. The subway is in the lobby. there's a good size gift shop & a number of smaller seating areas on each level. The website discourages strollers but there was definitely enough room to walk around with them. It's a very, very busy place but definitely worth the trip with kids to explore. Little ones 0-2 years old are no charge.

Such a great place to explore! There is something for all ages with about 4 floors of exhibits and each with a different theme. The indoor water play set up was perfect for my 2 year old (Bring extra clothes and shoes)!Updating: just came back a few years later and my kids are now 5 and 8 and one day was just not enough time here! I could spend 1 day for each floor here and it still wouldn't be enough. Can't wait to come back!

Wow what an experience! We have been to Franklin science center in Philly few days back. And I thought that one is the best and this science center might like that one as well. I was wrong ! (Both are worth visiting) every exhibit over here is interactive! 4,5 floors of science exhibits with beautiful views of Hartford from each floor windows :) it takes some time to interact with each exhibit and see various things (we spend about 5 hours in total). So plan your day / time accordingly!

Awesome museum with parking available on-site. My son is six and I feel like it was the perfect age because it was very engaged with the exhibits. It was also really cool to see the mummy exhibit. I’m glad we came when that certain exhibit was available. Also, it was busy but the kids and parents were all polite so it made for a pleasant wait time to see some of the exhibits

Some exhibits aren't maintained, at least 3-4 of them were broken. At least 1 on every floor. It was very interactive, really fun, but overall I wouldn't return. The noise makes it impossible to hear some exhibits, headphones should be put in along with hand sanitizer that's more visible. Kids touch everything, to see hand sanitizer and clean wipes barely provided I was shocked. There should be several stations per floor, not just the elevator. The bathrooms are very spacious and accommodating for all genders/disabilities. You don't need tickets here or maybe in the past you did. We purchased tickets and they weren't even checked. Waste of money. Safety clearly isn't a thing here, you're on your own.

Had a great time visiting the science center. I brought my niece and nephew and they had a great time. I recommend starting from the stop of the center and working your way to the bottom. One of my favorite attraction was the "space section". It was in the same section as the Legos. I thought it was very educational and also fun for the kids. I will go back again to see other aspects that we may have missed

This is the premiere children's museum in CT. There are hands on exhibits around every corner with more information and facts than one could imagine. Whether it's Enviromental, STEM, Ecological or Basic Fundamentals and Understanding your children will be in awe. Parents... Photo opportunities that make for great family photo memories are endless. Take lots of pictures of those big natural smiles and expressions of joy. Walk around outside (fresh air break) for a while along the lower promenade as well. Hartford has so much to offer, take advantage when you are here. Everyone have fun...Enjoy?
