Stay clear away from this Hertz!!!They are a bunch of rude people! They are incompetent and need training. The Manager(Lil guy) completely needs to work elsewhere. He going to get himself into something he can't handle!!!! I posted a review on service at Hertz,they said they would reach out to me within 72 hours. I never received a call yet. Definitely wouldn't recommend HERTZ. They have shady ethics and recent read about a scandal with Hertz

Made a reservation for a gas-powered vehicle (use for Uber) on 02/20/2024. They accepted it. I arrived and was told by the rude branch manager (can give his name he refused to give it.) they only had a Kona. I was very reluctant to take the car. But was told it was fast charging clean and in good shape. Finish the paperwork and got in the car to find it was below 50% charge on the car and they did not upload the vehicle to my UBER ACCT! Now i can understand if this place was busy and it simply was forgotten. But it was me and one other person. This guy is just basically lazy. I had to call and get that fixed. Then After trying to charge the car at three separate stations. I find the error is an issue with the car. I bring the car back the next morning and was told they have no other vehicles and they wanted to test the car for charging. It failed there to. So the rude no it all Branch manager start arguing with me how he personally charged that car up and had no problems. At this point a wanted a refund and got it and left. Again, the Branch manager forgets to remove vehicle off my UBER ACCT! I had to then spend more time having UBER REMOVE IT. I don't think Hertz or any rental company should have access to your acct. It's not a very secure thing to do. Clearly Hertz is not trained for UBER DRIVERS! But they will definitely take your money. Don't rent from this hertz. It's a waste of you time and money and you will be treated like garbage. IF YOU DONT HAVE GAS POWERED VEHICLES, DONT TAKE THE RESERVATION!

Very rude. Initially called and was put on hold for 15 minutes after asking my question. Called back got no answer. Called back again and the same young lady Danielle answered and when I reminded her that she had me on hold for 15 minutes she got very rude and defensive and disrespectfully replied “what’s your issue” this hertz by far has won the worst customer service award! 0 stars!

I wholeheartedly agree with the previous employee reviews here. Kato works here and is a self-proclaimed know it all. He is a people pleaser, super rude and hides behind some presumptuous knowledge to cover up his insecurities. How do you have conversations with people while attempting to help a customer at the same time. I caught him making blatant mistakes with my contract details, while swearing in front of customers and his boss with no regard of professionalism.I don't mean to be brash but thank God for the time of AI!Because these types of character flaws don't and shouldn't be tolerated, I don't care if the business needs people! He needs to be Fired and banned from any other Customer service jobs until he grows up!!!!Hertz, please invest in more computer-based renewals and such and this one-time investment will save you so much in the long run. Thanks for listening.

Dec. 13 I picked up a rental just before 4:00 pm. I was put in a 2019 Nissan Sentra. An hour into having the rental I began smelling bad fumes coming from the car. Rolled down passenger front and back windows. Got to my destination and found that the passenger front window wouldn't roll up. I parked the car and taped window. It was too cold to drive around with a window down. Next morning I arrived around 9:00 am to exchange the car. They had only one vehicle that I did not like. Asked manager to cancel the contract so that I can go to another Hertz. The manager was unprofessional and no help at all. I was charged $80 for a day which I did not have the vehicle for a day. On top of that the inside of the car was dirty. I was told they didn't have deep cleaning equipment. They are that greedy for money. The worst place ever. I read the reviews and they are bad but I still rented from them to experience for myself. Never again.

They gave me an electric vehicle that was not charged. They did not give me the adapter so that I could use a fast charger. They forgot to give me the car keys. The process to rent the car took a long time. I'm very unhappy with my rental.

Interesting the young man that helped me was scratching downtown no once but several times...not professional, especially when one does it in the public....never when over the car... Hertz downtown is not professional like the Airport...

Poor customer service , if customer service had a rating for the best worst service this would be a 5 start location without a doubt. The manager jason is always stepped out whenever you call, I guess he leads by example. They don’t know any information on any vehicles on the lot and they also hold vehicles for certain customers they know in order to make sure they are taken care of which is clearly a scam. I’m not sure why it’s necessary to have such poor service as their job is extremely easy. This location will never disappoint in failing expectations for customers. There needs to be employee reviews within this establishment’s higher management. Was told they had the vehicle available and the very next day charged me for this vehicle but did not receive it. Instead , we were given a less appropriate vehicle for the same price. Customer service is essential when having complications and making it worse financially is the top negative a business can produce. Please ensure more training for employees on how to look into what will be available and any extensions that occur this way they have answers instead of looking like a McDonald employee who doesn’t understand no pickles. I will continue to rate this location poorly because it is at the center of the Connecticut.

The employees at this location lack customer service and leadership on another level. These reviews get sent to the manager at this location who will not acknowledge or change anything that happens so in this instance I’m just writing on behalf of the public to review and make their own decision. If you need a vehicle in advance and need a certain type of vehicle you can guarantee this location will tell you it’s available until the day of pick up and give you vehicle which is not appropriate for your situation. I was told a vehicle was there the next day I go in without notification to alter it I was given a vehicle less appropriate as I said for the same price as the original one. These types of situations change the finance part of the experience and cause people to get frustrated because we are in need for one and on top it cost more than you originally planned. This is the number 1 sack religious thing to do in any business it’s putting a negative out to customers. They also do not clean or keep any integrity of the cars. They do not know their inventory they do not check in with returning customers returning to have insight of what’s available. If they do know they are not helping future customers with this information therefore putting a negative into establishment. They will charge you immediately but will not confirm with the customer to ensure that these are the updated contractual terms. You will waste more money on a rental and refueling than just going to ENTERPRISE for a BETTER quality all around experience. This location obviously won’t close but the public will be notified on this location. They will retain cars for certain individuals that they are familiar with to ensure they receive what they want. There is a scheme going on and it’s too obvious because not everyone is involved this is why the information is misconstrued when they tell you the have one then the next day don’t. I can not reiterate enough how terrible this location it and how poorly managed this place is. It’s a shame the integrity people do not carry when they go into work. Try enterprise first or a location where there is more appropriate environment on service ie. the locations. In conclusion I booked a rental that was supposed to cost 297 but ended up near 8 to 900 dollars in fuel cost and and re schedule the vehicle pick up. If you have no other choice this location can do it but, you will be frustrated by the end of the rental period. Make sure you double confirm any contract agreement before leaving this sham.
