“Big shout out to Auto-Bon and thank you for saving me from a $30k mistake. I was looking to buy a car from Terryville Chevrolet and was told by them the car was in perfect shape with no issues. This by itself set off red-flags so i requested to take it to Auto-Bon for a pre-inspection and the car was a huge liability with multiple issues related to the air suspension ($6k) engine issues, and other items that were not disclosed by the dealer. Thanks for being in my corner!”

“My vehicle failed initial inspection, they advised, I addressed the issues, came back and they passed the vehicle the second time. Professional and courtious. My only issue, this was a used car purchase and it had a belt receiver tucked into the seat. It's my problem not theirs, I get that. I just felt they could have been a bit more helpful on that, but these shops probably lose money doing inspections, and that vehicle didn't need any repairs, so 5 stars is very reasonable.”

It's been a little while since I got my car back, and it is still running well. The 1 year warranty on the drivetrain and 6 month warranty bumper to bumper on these cars with over 100k miles is unprecedented, and takes all of the fear out of buying a used car. They can offer these warranties because Mike has over 30 years experience with Subarus and knows and preventatively services everything likely to go wrong BEFORE he sells it. The problematic model years? He wont even sell ‘em. The quality of car you get for your money here is very impressive. My wife and I love the Outback we bought here. Buy with confidence.”

I had SUCH a great first time experience at The Mechanical Advantage! I was looking to find a local Euro mechanic for my VW. However, I was willing to drive outside of my local arear for a well reviewed mechanic. The VW dealers just don't want to work on 20 year old cars, regardless of the condition.
Jay at The Mechanical Advantage came out and welcomed me the moment I got out of my car! Most mechanics or auto service rep tend to run AWAY from customers. A welcome family run environment in the lobby. Jay listened to my complaint very carefully, and even gave me some options on how to fix it. All options were very reasonably priced. They were busy enough that they told me it might be up to a week before they could get to it. Surprisingly they called the next day and said they happened to have a open bay period and got the car in.
I will absolutely be coming back. Thank you Jay!!!”
“I had a 400 sbc short block built by Precision in late fall 2022. All interactions & transactions were smooth and fair. I got a quote and they stood close to that quote. I have worked in a small business long enough where I can tell just by conversation and the facility how things will go. The guys are dedicated to their profession and take pride in their work. I had most of the parts and I needed them to get some parts for completion. Knowing I was going to get the block heavily machined, I knew they would have to get those parts. In the end, everything turned out as expected and today, after 1200 miles on the build, I couldn't be happier. Mike is mainly who I dealt with, he was good at listening to my needs and didn't push what or how he thought I should have my engine built. Mike was a good listener to the customers needs and wants. I felt the need to write a review, because mostly what I wrote above. I can't say enough good about these guys. Too many people are quick to point fingers and bash a business, I'm going to leave it at that... Thanks again Precision Auto Machine!!”
