My name is Jason, I am not trying to be the guy that works at Home Depot and he's going to complain. I have worked at Home Depot for five months. I work the service desk now and I see everything that goes on. I walked into Lowe's expecting our competitor to be like us. It's Thursday at 3 PM I need it for items, so I had to walk around the store. I believe I seen five workers in the 45 minutes I was there no one said hello and we're not engaged as I needed help the associate said they're not sure. I went to the register I had to cut piece of rug and some 8 inch spikes the cashier looked at me She didn't know what I had so I explained it to her. And showed her which ones. When it came to ringing up the rug. There was no one there to help and flooring with the rug so I grabbed a cut remnant I saw because I had no help getting it so she sent me to the service desk which was the most depressing of my visit when I arrive there there's an associate pushing a cart there were three of us were waiting at the service desk, and you could see her readiness I should say the impatience on her face and edging the cart actually forward so we would move. No excuse me. As I was waiting for my turn, I watched the special services associate at the return desk who had a very slow and hard time they were only three of us customers, but she never once said I'll be right with you when it was my turn to get my rug she rang it up what she felt. She thought it should be while the three of us were waiting. The phone rang two separate times, and it rang and rang and rang. I'm just saying. I expected to go in and be. Greeted by many associates. I would've expected to get help in the flooring I'll. And I would have definitely expected better guest service from the three Associates I ran into. Just Let dow!

Manager is ignoring employee requests for assistance/help. Doesnt want to come to deal with the issue in person. I feel bad for the employees who are stuck. 20+ minutes of waiting for a line of people.

The middle management are the worst. I stood there and watched a cashier page for customer assistance with loading their order in the car for 20 minutes. The cashier repeatedly paged every single person they could. 20 minutes. No one ever showed up to help. She apologized profusely to the customer and sent him to customer service. Instead the customer took it upon themselves to angrily load their own car (guess they were capable after all ?) went home and THEN called the store to complain about the CASHIER who had done all she could in her job power to help. Then this manager came and screamed at the cashier in front of customers and other employees (totally unprofessional and embarrassing) Cashiers are NOT allowed to leave their register unattended. Ever. So literally all they can do is page people. It’s up to MANAGEMENT to make sure those people get help once the cashiers have done their job. So management didn’t do their job then dumped it on the cashier. What a disgusting lack of work ethic on the part of this manager. Lady you know who you are. Do better.

The Killingly store has helpful people who actually know what they have in stock and where to direct you. My only complaint is about the lack of assistance for check out. I cannot use the self checkout as I like to use my veteran discount which apparently cannot be done by myself. The only register routinely open is at the self checkout, where the poor salesperson has to mind the "self "stations as well as assist me. She does a terrific job, but she ought to get paid double for twice the amount of work. Self checkout really should have one cashier minding it, and at least one register, not at that station, where other people can be assisted.

In July 2020 we hired Lowe's in Killingly to install a new roof, gutters and siding on our home. Everything was supposed to be completed by September 15, 2020. Lowe's was not the cheapest quote we obtained, however we felt secure that because of the largess of Lowe's we would have security in a job done right. We paid for the entire job upfront however, unlike with a regular contractor that would have requested a third or hold of the job, with the remainder due after the job had been completed. The roof was installed the third week of August 2020 and our gutters removed and disposed of in anticipation of the new gutters and siding, However the roofing contractor did a horrible job with the flashing. An unaffiliated contractor confirmed our opinion that the flashing installation was "crap" (his words, not ours). We reached out to our local Lowe's representative Brandon Cleary by text, phone and email and finally received a response 2 weeks later. After an extensive back and forth with our installation coordinator with nothing being resolved, we finally called the national complaint line and they got our coordinator's supervisor involved. We were promised that everything would be resolved with the roof a dour siding and gutters installed before it got too cold to do so. That was on October 14th. It is now October 27th and our roof flashing still has not been fixed. The siding was literally dropped on our driveway yesterday. The boxes are crushed and appear to have been sitting in the elements for a while. The weather appears to have now turned for the colder (it was in the 70's last week) and extensive rain with a cold front and snow is forecast for the 29th and 30th. We have no gutters on our home, the flashing is still not fixed and it appears that our temperature window for vinyl installation has past. I do not recommend Lowe's installation services.

In May, ordered a dishwasher. I have an old home and haven't had a dishwasher in 12 years. It was a birthday present that I really appreciated. They were all on sale, picked a mid-range Bosch. Was told because of the virus it might take a month to receive. Exactly a month later, I called (because I hadn't heard from them) and was told it would take another month to receive. Okay, not happy, but I understand the extenuating circumstances. Mid July, I called to be told that they had called me and told me it would be another 7-9 weeks, and I agreed. That was totally untrue, I never received a call nor did I agree to another 2 month back order. Called again to have Customer Service day they would put me thru to the appliance department, and it rang and rang and no one picked up. Went there in person. Told them I was walking out of there with a dishwasher and I wanted them to take me seriously and offer me a good deal. A woman showed me 2 dishwashers that they had in stock, and both of them were bottom of the line appliances. I then insisted on my money cbCk; they sent me to Customer Service. There was a lot of talking back and forth between the cashiers and, I guess, a Manager. Was told they could refund me my money but not the appliance warranty I purchased for around $65 because somebody "special" had to approve it and they weren't there. You want me to drive 3 towns over and come back??? You couldn't do anything to make me a happy customer, AND YOU WANT ME TO COME BACK FOR MY MONEY?!?!? Anyway, agreed to a phone call the next day to have my refund approved. I understand the virus could keep from getting my purchase on time, but at least 4 months??? And what gets me the most is that they lied and told me they had called me and I had approved it! And they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to make us happy customers. They all seemed to be inconvenienced by us when that was what they were doing to me. WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. Shame on Lowe's for not teaching their employees to go the extra mile to make a customer.Addition: it has been 3 weeks, and I have yet to receive a refund on my warranty. Was told to call and ask for Rich, but he was never in. After almost 2 weeks, I finally got in touch with him. He took my number and told me he would call me when it went through. Then I would call back, and he would ask for my number again, and again. Then I was told he passed it on to someone else to do. Today, I finally did get a call from him that there would be a certified check sent to me by mail. Let's see if I ever receive it, or if it the correct amount. I will NEVER go there again. In the meantime, I have purchased a dishwasher from another store, brought it home and installed it. Something they couldn't do for me.

Lowe’s is not being safe. Many employees have no masks and talk to customers like that. Don’t you care about your customers? Not a good place to shop unless follow Ct Governor’s recommendation to wear a mask.

I came into the Killingly store with a quote for laminate flooring installation and materials. I had questions about the quote and wanted to complete the task of getting my materials ordered. I was assisted by “Justin”. He stood out to me as one of the most helpful sales associates that I can recall in a long time. He was knowledgable about the flooring products and installation. He put me at ease with his answers and details. He assisted other customers with quick questions

I don't know what has happened to this store. Used to be great people and great service. Now I dread having to go. Hardly any employees available and many products out of stock. And their pro desk is simply awful. Any time you go to pick up an order, it's like you've asked them to solve a complex equation... Pure confusion. I never thought I'd say this... Need a Home Depot closer to my house.
