“SS Bottle Shoppe is my "go-to" place whenever I'm visiting the area. The selection is fantastic and they've got a great variety of your usual favorites along with more unique finds, so there's always something for everyone. The owner will even place orders when I'm looking for something specific that might not be in stock. He has tons of knowledge for the times when I want to get someone a nice gift but I don't know anything about specialty bourbons or tequilas. This is a great place to go if you want a stellar selection in the welcoming environment of a small-town shop.”

“A perfect wine shop for a small village. While the store itself is not very large it doesn't need to be almost all of the walls are lined with shelving which is all put to good use to display product.They had a very nice selection of not only wine but liquor as well and to my surprise they also had a selection of craft beer and cider which I was not expecting but very happy to find.It is very centrally located and easy to walk to and the service was wonderful. The gentleman working was extremely friendly and conversational! I was visiting the area but will be in the area more often and don't see myself looking for anywhere else to purchase alcohol while there.”

“This is a great full service package store. It doesn't look like much from the front of the building, but when you walk in, the wine selection is extensive, the cold case has a massive selection of beer and the liquor is very well priced. They also have a tasting bar.”

“Little Rooster has been our go-to liquor store for years. I cannot say enough good things about how customer oriented they are. They have special ordered wine for family events, as well as stocking brands that we enjoy. So although the floor space at the store is small, this does not limit their ability to work with you if you are looking for a special wine or beer that you would like to try and/or stock. Truly a five star business.”
“I have been doing business with Russ and his staff since the 90s. Their selection and knowledge of wines Is Tops on the shoreline. Huge variety of aged bourbon, scotch and whiskey. The size of the store allows them to stock nearly every brand of beer available. If you can't find it here, it may not exist.”

“I love this place. These guys have an awesome assortment of liquor we have nothing in Bristol area like these guys do here. We got these thin tall cans of mixed drinks and they tasted great. I had vodka in mine other people had a tequila one and one had run tequila and vodka in it. Other than drinks this place has good prices and decent staff. The manager there was really nice she had a major upsale because she told me a out these drinks. She was helpful and kind. The place is in a good area and plenty of parking too. Don't charge for bags which really means a lot. That tells me that they care more about their customers than making an extra buck.”
“A gem tucked into East Haddam! I stopped in while driving through the area in hopes of finding a great little Mother’s Day gift. What I found was an amazing little wine and spirits shop owned by the most knowledgeable and hospitable couple. Brendan & Kelley bought this shop about a year ago they said and have totally transformed it from a local package store to a tourist attraction because of their selection and location. Right in the heart of downtown. If you’re looking for something special or looking to try something new, stop in and let them share their world with you!”

“The Madison Wine Exchange has a really good selection of wines from around the world. The prices are very reasonable. They also sell beer, liquor etc. The wine aisles are well marked with signage so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. The staff was very helpful. It’s clean and there’s plenty of parking available. It’s easy to get to as it’s right on the Boston Post Road in Madison.”

“Generally a pretty big selection, probably the biggest in the area. Sometimes the beer selection of sours etc is better than others, but usually they have a good selection. They have been doing a fair amount of reorganizing and expanding of their layout, so I'd only expect them to improve the selection as they settle in on that too.”
