We had a delightful 2 night getaway at Abbey’s Lantern Hill Inn. The place is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and welcoming. Erica and Peter were responsive to our every need without being intrusive. Our room (Southwest) was beautiful with a comfortable bed, a working fireplace and whirlpool tub. We had a delicious breakfast served in our room and made use of the mini fridge and microwave for lunch and snacks before heading to nearby Stonington and Mystic for dinners. The private deck and views of the gardens will definitely bring us back in warmer weather but we were able to enjoy a walk through the woods to the stream. A thoroughly enjoyable mini vacation.Highly recommended.

We had a delightful stay at this charming and rather perfect inn. We’d only booked to stay for one night, part of our three week road trip around New England, but quickly wished we were staying longer. Erika and Peter were the most perfect and welcoming hosts. Fab facilities in our room - super comfy bed and linen, lovely bathroom, comfortable furniture and stylish decor. We travelled in late autumn, however in the summer months the rooms open onto their own individual terraces - the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious breakfast! Highly recommended.

My husband and I recently stopped here for a couple of days on our way to Maine. Erika and Peter were kind, and warm, and accommodated our dietary needs perfectly (what a delicious tofu scramble!!!) Which we appreciate greatly when we travel. The drive to the Inn is beautiful and the property is clean, beautiful, and inviting. Stunning autumn views. The mystic room was lovely. The jacuzzi tub was perfect for both rainy nights during our stay. Comfortable bed, comfy linens. Our only issue was the outdoor lights being on all night and the lack of true darkness while sleeping. It made it tough to fall asleep, but that's a case-by-case basis so it doesn't affect our review! Stay for yourself, you will enjoy every moment!Food & drinks: Vegan friendly ??

My wife and I recently stayed her while attended events at Mohegan Sun. Peter was a wonderful host and extremely gracious and kind. The room was comfortable and had more than we needed! While we did not get to explore the grounds, the location was superb and quiet. We got a fire going in the fireplace and it felt like fall! This a great alternative to a sterile stay at one of the resort hotels. We will be sure to stay here again the next time we are in town!

We recently completed a two week roadtrip with our dog through New England, staying two nights here; it was by far our favorite accommodation! We had the separate cottage with its own small, fenced in back yard, which was so quiet and private, both for ourselves and our dog. Our host and hostess were very responsive to any questions or needs we had, and they cooked up the best breakfasts! The property is nicely landscaped with a nearby trail for walking. We initially chose this B&B for its central location to so many other places we intended to visit, Newport RI, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Mystic, Boston. Of course, two days afforded us little time, so we will definately be back to take it all in - hopefully, again from our Little Cottage!Rooms: The cottage is decorated in a nautical theme with a very comfortable bed, small refrigerator, open hanging racks, two rattan chairs, and separate bathroom. Sliding glass doors lead to the yard with table and chairs and loungers.

We have stayed multiple times at the abbey lantern Inn. Can't say enough about it. It's close to foxwoods, like moments away, and you have the quaintness of the countryside. You can have breakfast there too. I wish that if they weren't full on weekends that they would accept one night rentals. Clean, and well maintained.Nearby activities: Foxwoods (casino and Tanger outlets stores) music on the weekends. Book shows ahead for specific on line entertainment.

Abby's Lantern Inn is a treasured gem, in my books. Stayed a long wkend in the Southwest Room. Truly comfortable bed, cherry wood for the fireplace every nite, and the whole house is spotless CLEAN! Erika is a delightful hostess as well as a chef! She resources local organic eggs, bacon, & a multigrain bread that is marvelous!! She has breakfast specials as well. I am so glad to have found this beautiful, clean B&B!

Took a weekend getaway, we stayed in the mystic room we loved the jetted jacuzzi. Loved the location nice and quiet and the view was great, also your breakfast you could have delivered to your room and was delicious. Definitely would enjoy staying there again!Nearby activities: Foxwoods is right around the corner, so having all the stores near by was a plus.

It was all you might hope for in a bed and breakfast. Very clean, beautiful rooms, very nice breakfast, and hosts who are pleasant and not overbearing. There are great walking trails which begin on the property. Highly recommend the Pequot Museum and the local cider mill.

Our little cottage was so cute and clean! We had a lovely stay and the breakfast was wonderful! They even sent us off with some apple cider we missed out on the night before. Beautiful property and kind owners.Nearby activities: It was a super short drive to the Foxwoods Casino! Only took a few minutes which was nice because we were tired!!Safety: Felt safe being on the property, and they had ring cameras installed.Food & drinks: They brought breakfast to our room, it was light and filling, and the warm food and drinks were great for the cool morning. We loved the monkey bread and the pumpkin butter, but we accidentally left the rest behind!

We enjoyed our stay at Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn for the week. The room was comfortable and cozy. We had a dedicated outside patio just to ourselves, which was a delightful place to enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast. The grounds were beautifully kept. The location was easy to find and close to Foxwoods, where I was attending meetings during the day. And the electric car chargers were a bonus since we rented a EC vehicle.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend while we celebrated our wedding anniversary. The Inn was stunning. Erika and Peter were so gracious and welcoming. The amenities they provide are top notch in fact my husband and I are still talking about the pillows they are for real that good. The breakfast each morning was delicious and they were very conscious of our dietary restrictions and made sure to accommodate us. We are so happy we decided to stay here. We are already planning our next visit.

My husband and I have never been to a B&B, I found this gem searching the Mystic area for a getaway. Upon arrival we explored the property and found a beautiful hammock, fire pit area, darts under the gazebo and the most beautiful landscaping. We set up our camera all over taking pictures! We met Erika & Peter, who were just lovely! We were staying in the County Room. The room was bright, airy, smelled so fresh, had organic amazing products, beautiful balcony and just so sweet. We drove to watch a show at Mohegan and spent the day at downtown Mystic. Our breakfast which was chosen by us, from options provided, was served to our room on the most beautiful serving tray and so delicious!!! Did I mention delicious?! We ate on the private balcony, even though there was a sprinkle in air it was so romantic. Here’s my only regret…. We didn’t stay longer. You will not be disappointed, we will be back soon, and yes I have bragged to my friends/family and have given away the best kept secret in that area.Rooms: Beautiful room, adorable cottage that I was able to see.Safety: Very lit & safe.Food & drinks: Breakfast included was amazing!!!!Noteworthy details: Romantic, quiet, organic bath products, small fridge, microwave, private outdoor areas to each room. Beautiful property.

A perfect getaway spot for romantic relaxation! Absolutely lovely and well-kept grounds! Saw a variety of wildlife from the resident kitty and coy, to wild deer and hummingbirds. Very convenient location, just down the street from Foxwoods Casino and very close to Mystic. The proprietors are friendly and aim to make your stay as comfortable and peaceful as possible! It's different than your average B&B in that the rooms are not within the main house, and each has its own entrance affording you complete privacy! It appeared that most if not all rooms have a private balcony or patio for outside relaxation. The Mystic room is cute and spacious with a mini fridge, microwave, TV, and a two person jacuzzi tub separate from the bathroom. Full bathroom with toilet, single sink and mirror, and large shower. Extra goodies like wine and charcuterie platters are available for purchase to enhance your experience! I highly recommend Abbey's for your next stay in the area!
