My 2 children have been with Little Learners for almost 3 years now and I am SO happy with the care that’s been provided for them. They both are excited to go every morning and that speaks volumes. The staff are wonderful at communicating with us and I know my girls are well taken care of. It’s clear that the staff work together and support each other, there’s always happy vibes at pick up and drop off. Couldn’t recommend enough. Thank you Little Learners! My girls are thriving because of you!

My daughter has been going here since she was 12 weeks old. Her infant teacher was one of the kindest women you’d ever meet. Every morning before I take her in I ask her if she wants to see her friend’s and teacher’s. She gets so excited! She loves them and loves her teachers! Everyone is so kind and caring. I can tell my daughter is happy and comfortable with her teachers because I’ve seen it in person. I love this establishment and wouldn’t send my child anywhere else.

Everyone is helpful and caring. The activities they do really foster learning and imagination. Our son will be well prepared for kindergarten when the times comes.

So my wife and I had our first child attend little learners in 2019. At first, they were great. Then after two years and a teacher change, our son started to not like going there and would give us a hard time in the morning. They had us take him to another school for an evaluation because of course they thought something was wrong with him but he scored great on there evaluation. The school hinted that it might be the daycare that's the problem.I brought some concerns up to them and tried to advocate for our son. But me being a male they automatically thought that I was being aggressive and mean. Mind you, I've never raised my voice to them and communicated mostly through email. In my emails I would ask a lot of questions and they told my wife that I made them seem like they were terrible people by asking questions. As time went on, they started writing these incident reports of our child when he would become upset. It was obvious that they were trying to force us out because these incident reports were three times a week. Needless to say, we ended up going to another daycare and our son's mood chains almost immediately. He was happy to go to daycare again and never had an incident for the next 2 years. We later found out that they were the same way to other families trying to push them out when their kids weren't perfect. Then if the parents try to advocate for them they would automatically call them aggressive and make it seem as they were the problem. This daycare cannot take constructive criticism at all. They want to believe that they do everything right and don't need to improve anything about their staff.

Little Leaerners has been the best child care that I could have ever asked for. 3 years ago, I was a newly single mom and had been used to being a stay at home mom. I was very hesitant putting my kids in the care of someone else. But, let me tell you, it was one of the best things I have ever done. My children flourished. Debbie, and the staff are like family. We have been through a lot the past couple of years, but I wouldn't have been able to get through any of it without the help from this team. We love this place so much, and would recommend it to anyone seeking affordable, trustworthy, and a healthy environment for their children. We are sad to go, but so thankful for everything over these past few years. You ladies truly make a difference, and I am so thankful for you guys!!!!

Avoid Little Learners Ledyard if you can. It speaks volumes that the last positive review on here is from 3 years ago….Staff consistently failed to follow established policies and never committed to making things right.1) Our boys regularly developed painful diaper rashes despite diaper checks required every 2 hours. Short-staffing was cited as the reason. We supplied ample creams and asked for more attention to the matter...2) The Assistant Director yelled at our 3yo son and made him sit out with his face down until pickup when he was acting out. Their response wasn’t even in the ballpark of their established Discipline Policy. There was no attempt at Positive Guidance or Redirection beforehand.3) Children are taken outside to play in 87-degree weather without water. It took parents picking up kids to identify that a child was beet red and drenched in sweat, still wearing a sweatshirt from inside. Failure to keep children safe from the heat is consistently an issue.Lack of supervision is endemic. Some staff are overwhelmed and lose control of playtime. I had to pick up my injured son, fearful that he may go blind because the amount of rough-housing that takes place.I routinely asked myself, where is the Director? Why is oversight completely nonexistent? We entrusted our children to Little Learners expecting decent care and reasonable adherence to their policies and procedures. We tried to work with the Director on many occasions but we were consistently let down.I hate to say that we regret our time at Little Learners, but I do. I implore you to think hard about the well-being of your family and look elsewhere for the care of your children.

Little Learners has been the home to both of my boys over the last 5+ years. There aren’t many places you can drop your 12 week old baby off to and be completely confident they are safe and loved. Little Learners has been a place for both of my boys to grow, learn, create memories and friendships and prepare them for what’s ahead. The staff is not only creative, patient, and loving, they also ensure our kids are safe - taking all the precautions during the pandemic and cold/flu seasons, kissing booboos, and making sure they have bug spray/sunscreen etc all while creating an environment that encourages self expression and creativity. Little Learners is more than just a child care center - they have become family!

I first found Little Learners 5 years ago when looking for care for my oldest son. I knew I had found the right place when I saw a little shirt hanging in the entryway with spots and stains explaining all the ways fun and learning might occur. The teachers go above and beyond to create a safe, loving and creative environment for all the children. It is an amazing place, full of phenomenal educators!!

Our family had been with little learners ledyard site for 3.5 years and recently made the decision to leave to another center due to continued lack of knowledge and willingness to work with families. At this point, we did not feel safe leaving our children in the care of some of the head teachers, who would not acknowledge us at drop offs, and some even went as far to turn their backs to me and one child and not acknowledge our presence in the room. There had been incidents over the years that had been handled more appropriately, but recently the question of professionalism and knowledge about young child development and emotional well-being lead to our deciding to leave, prior to the director saying that our children were no longer welcome due to lack of parent cooperation when they consistently told us “we don’t know what to do” and were offended at attempts to share what works at home and may be helpful at daycare. Staff did not follow the written discipline policy in the handbook and even put our preschooler in a time out for 20 minutes after yelling at him because they were unable to do closing tasks as he was “not listening”. There are some wonderful staff still present at this site, however I would not recommend this center with current leadership and oversight. There needs to be training and better support for the staff in order to retain quality teachers for kiddos.

My grandson attends Little Learners and loves it. I have done the drop offs and pick ups and the staff has always been wonderful. I have the utmost trust in this center. I adore the updates and pictures that are posted with all the specials events they plan for the kids. Everyone goes above and beyond for all the children.

I’ve sent all 3 of my children to Little Learners at both the Ledyard and Norwich sites and have had nothing but great interactions with the staff as well as knowing my kids are in a safe and educational environment!

Always picking my kids up because they can't handle a 3 and 4 year old, they brag about how many credentials they have, but give up and send kids home for any reason. Not worth the expensive price tag, find somewhere else that doesn't run their school like a prison,
