“I ordered a Deveci pear scion this winter. The one I got was good: alive, no defects of any kind. For their scionwood they are more expensive than most places. But you can’t really take that into account when they carry varieties no one else sells. (Not just pear, but other fruits too.). If you want rare, temperate climate fruit plants and cuttings, this is a good place to look.”
“Ordered a Valentine's bouquet and it was incredible. Better than what I thought I ordered. So beautiful and so thought out. I opted for the additional chocolate option, not knowing anything about what that would entail, but it was not only from a local business, Fascia's chocolates, in Waterbury but my girlfriend says was the most delicious chocolates she's ever had. The in house delivery person who delivered my flowers was not only punctual, but also so incredibly kind and lovely. Can't recommend enough! “Love Van Engelen Inc. for my sprint bulbs! Ordered an all-white assortment of Narcissi, and it really gave a spectacular display. And the customer service folks are VERY knowledgeable - I ended up with some Daffs that looked like they'd be pink, but they assured me (correctly) that they would turn completely white over time.
Ordered an assortment of other bulbs that I planted this past fall, and can't wait to see what they look like.

“I love Litchfield Hills Nursery all times of the year but my favorite time is when it's cold and dark outside and then walk in the nursery where it's light, warm and colorful from all the great plants. When I went there a few days ago there was a wonderful hum of people who all sounded happy & peaceful which is how I feel when I'm there. There were also some delightful scents in the air & I had the delightful scent in my nose all the way home.”
