I had just arrived from Florida and was taking care of my son’s dogs and house when I locked myself out of the house. I only had pajamas on and had been outside for over 2 hours in the cold, She was so kind- stayed there until I talked to the police officer who then was able to contact my son working in NY. “I see a lot of bad reviews so I wanted to leave my own for a change of perspective ! I use this post office all the time and i haven't ever had an issue. I went in there this morning and the man that's always there in the morning (wish I thought to ask for his name ) was so incredibly helpful. I was trying to track down a package I mailed 2 weeks ago that appeared to have been lost based on the tracking. He searched the system every way he could and despite me giving him all of the wrong info (I had the date and time wrong AND the person who had helped me that day wrong - I confused it with another day that I shipped a package) he was so patient and kind and he solved the mystery . He found the transaction and gave me plenty of proof that it was actually delivered last week despite the recipient not verifying that it was. He was the only one there and had other customers that he bounced back and forth between me and helping them and was still smiling and kind with us all. I would have lost patience with me if I were him lol!

“I can't say enough about the wonderful service this USPS offers. In addition to cheerful, accommodating, knowledgeable employees who solve every problem efficiently, there is also easy parking. And they also take UPS packages.”

“This one is so much better than Thomaston PO. The staff here are professional and friendly. The Thomaston one they have attitudes especially the lady post master I spoke to ( interjecting and speaking gruffly) she should be fired! They also hire incompetent carriers who speed in the complex had many problems with Thomaston PO and brought to managers attention - they don't seem to give. Thomaston needs to get better carriers and staff. I try not to do much business at that one.”

“This postal office is generally pretty busy.
The customer service here is very good. I don't know why there aren't more employees up front when the line is long. But even the postmaster will come and help on some occasions.
They offer passport services here. And they have post office boxes for those who need them.
The next closest post offices are in Litchfield and Harwinton. Both are about 7 to 8 mile's away.”
