Highly recommended by the store I bought my gown in Wallingford. Only needed shortening of gown. Asked for shoulder shawl to be made from leftover material. Assured both times it would be done. Went today for final try on and no shawl. Extra material was at the bottom of the garment bag and the gown had a longer train than what I wanted. The end result was I left with less than what I expected and had to remind the owner that my final cost was less because the shawl wasn't made. Very unhappy. Not recommended

I am writing this on behalf of the way this establishment treated my mother. There is no argueing that Angi Lu’s doesn’t do an impeccable job with dress alterations, they are on the pricier side, but I do believe you get what you pay for. However, their lack of professionalism and extreme rudeness made the whole experience less than enjoyable. Our first poor interaction with them is when they requested that I “find a sitter” if I was planning on accompanying my mom to her next appointment, becuase the first appointment I had to bring my two kids since my husband was unavailable to help me. Then, following this prior to every app my mom had she was was harassed for weeks prior to arrival with endless phone calls telling her she had to come in for her dress when she was traveling a 2 hr commute from Ma for the dress and would book appointments weeks out. At the last appointment she walked and in immediately I she was greeted with “wow we didn’t think you’d make it seeing as you were suppose to get the dress a week ago” when in fact she had booked an app weeks prior for the day when she showed up. With all this said and the astronomical prices they charge, I would not recommend going to such an unprofessional rude dressmaker.

I had an awesome experience! I picked my wedding dress up a few days ago after taking it to Angie Lu’s for alterations, and it looks amazing! The fit is now perfect and they could not have done a better job! Everyone who works there is so nice and welcoming. They are very efficient and make sure everything is done the way you want. The shop itself is very clean and organized. I highly recommend Angie Lu’s!

Been here a few times for alterations, and have had some negative experiences recently. Nice store, and staff but wildly over priced. Expect between $250 - $350 for a suit tailoring. It feels like you’re being swindled, and not told the true price until you pick it up. Fairly, I’d take my business elsewhere from now on.

We came here with some outlet Armani in need of alterations for an upcoming wedding. My partner also purchased a shirt and pants from her to match the jacket. We got it all back today. The shirt is not fit to his body at all. The pants were not altered, to the point rhey still had chalk in the bottom. And the jacket, still had the pockets stitched up. He doesn't have time to go back and have it fitted with his schedule leading up to the wedding - which is stressful - especially when you pay so much. Really disappointed, and inconvenienced as hell.

I've brought multiple bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses to Lena and the other girls and I have to say every single one of them have turned out beautiful. Since I loved how the bridesmaid dresses turned out I knew I had to bring my wedding dress to be altered here as well. They were so patient and understanding of everything I wanted to be fixed. Their attention to detail is unmatched and their efficiency to get the dress done by the date you give them is great. You truly get the best service when you bring anything to them and they cater to anything you may need. I cannot recommend their services enough

Angie and her staff are professional, accommodating and made my wedding dress alterations perfect. The bridal alteration suite is expansive with lots of natural light. Very pleasant process working with her team.

Great experience with my wedding dress! I would say the pricing is average for bridal tailoring. I was very happy with the results and Lina was so sweet and nice to work with!

I was looking a good tailor close to work in Madison and was recommended this tailor by a co worker. When I asked the owner her rate she said she would have to see the garment and judge for herself what it would cost. I felt fine with that because the item I had in mind was a dress that just needed the slit closed. A Reformation Dress--pretty simple work if you know the design. When I came to pick up the dress I was charged $60...!!! --to close a slit in the dress. If those are Madison prices I will not be returning and warn anyone to steer clear. Never again...! I can ONLY imagine how expensive more involved work would be based on the owners "judgement" 0/10 for pricing and the work was very basic
