Recommended by a wonderful friend, I scheduled an appointment with Heidi at Salon H for a consultation due to my desperate need for color correction and hopefully, restoring not only my natural color but also adding both highlights/lowlights (usual protocol). Scheduling was super easy and confirmations for my appointment (upon scheduling as well as week of my appointment) were very helpful (acknowledging the appointment with directions etc).
Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed and without waiting, I was kindly escorted to the chair of my stylist. Within seconds, I was greeted by Heidi and introduced to Michaela (spelling ?) who was “shadowing” her that day. They were both extremely welcoming, friendly, upbeat and engaging. Since I was rather anxious, we got down to business right away.
Heidi assessed my hair while asking my history. She compassionately listened to my history, concerns and wishes. Without hesitation, she offered her professional opinion as to what I (my damaged hair) needed as well as her professional recommendation as to how to proceed with repair, correction as well as my request for highlights and lowlights. She was very sensitive about my situation as well as my goal. Heidi recommended a treatment plan to get to where I ultimately wanted regarding my hair (final outcome). She articulated very clearly the protocol that would be best/healthiest in order to treat my very damaged hair as well as prep for highlights/lowlights once my hair was healthy again. With professional as well as at-home treatment, it was going to take time. I completely understood and actually fully appreciated her professional opinion, and the plan moving forward. To do otherwise would have resulted in causing more damage to my hair perhaps resulting in further discoloration as well as possible hair loss.
Heidi did a great job matching a color (to bring me back to my original/natural color) by assessing my skin as well as eyebrows (no one has ever used my eyebrows as a good foundation to work from) and I’m thoroughly happy with the treatment plan for repair as well as the outcome of my current color which is naturally “me” again (infact I like the color so much that I may keep it versus adding highlights/lowlights) …to be determined.
Heidi and her team are absolutely fabulous… Salon H has a wonderful vibe, is clean, beautiful to the eye and very well organized. Although it was my first time there and I was rather anxious… I felt welcomed and at ease under their professional care. I have a follow up appointment in July, as well as in September. In the meantime, I have an at-home treatment plan to rebuild the health of my hair.
Thank you, Heidi, Michaela and Salon H (highly recommended). Finally, I can hold my head high again!!! 💁🏻♀️
PS Did I mention how they asked me if I was comfortable and if I wanted anything – water/coffee/tea etc.? Truly as wonderful experience with the Salon. Do yourself a favor: GO!!!!
PS I returned for another TLC visit today (#3)
so that Heidi could do her magic and continue to repair damage from another salon. She is absolutely amazing…. Here are a couple little things that are big things that make a difference- For the first time in my life, I had a timer put before me so I knew how much there was to process the repair/highlights, etc. Never before I had I had the benefit of having a timer so it allowed me to gauge appropriately rather than wonder 🤷🏻♀️
The other small thing that made a difference was a little message on the mirror in front of me… I will post a photo below. The little things make all the difference in the world!

Bella at Salon H in Madison has been doing my hair for years!
Her cuts grow out seamlessly!
Her hair coloring is spot on and you can not even tell when it is growing out!
My favorite is the coconut Keratin treatment we do once or twice a year! The results are amazing and the compliments I get on how healthy my 60 something hair is is amazing!
She is sometimes hard to get into but let me tell you “Worth the wait”
Everyone at this salon is spot on from check in to check out!
Making the appointments online is fabulous and the reminder texts the best!
I love the products they use and also the products I buy there! But they never push you to purchase products. But I always ask what to do to make my beautiful hair last!
Easy to find just off Munger Hill in Madison on Boston Post Rd.
Best in the shoreline I drive 30 minutes to go to them!

I recently moved back to Connecticut after residing in Seattle for nearly 13 years and was searching for a comparable salon from my Seattle high end salon (paid close to $300) that could give me the bright blonde I love so much. I researched a few salons closeby and read the very positive reviews about Salon H and thought...why not? I'll try it out and see what happens. I'm so incredibly happy I chose this salon. The Receptionist was wonderful with scheduling when I called and was greeted very warmly when I arrived early for my appointment. I had a constant cough and she checked in to see if I needed water, etc.. The salon is absolutely beautiful and super clean and organized. I was very impressed. Also, I found it very smart and kind to offer new clients $20 off their first visit. My colorist, Crystal was so incredibly patient with me from the start, as I can be quite chatty especially when imparting the knowledge I received from past colorist's techniques, etc. She handled me like a pro and remained professional throughout. The color came out phenomenal! I've posted a few photos below to support my statement. I'm so incredibly happy with the outcome and look forward to returning for future visits. I've found my new Salon and Stylist. Thank you, everyone at Salon H! 😁😁😁

I brought my almost 4 year old here for a wash, cut and blow dry with Danielle and we will be back. The staff was very welcoming and Danielle was excellent with my daughter. We will be back!

Salon H did my hair for my wedding, as well as the hair of my bridesmaids, my flower girl, my mom, my mother in law, and my sister in law! They were very well-organized and speedy, even with so many people to get through. They were friendly and offered us champagne, it was a wonderful experience! They did an amazing job with my updo, it stayed put all night and looked amazing. Thank you Salon H!

LOVE coming to Salon H! Everytime I come to the salon, I feel welome and comfortable, and I appreciate the staff that gets me "in and out" to accommodate my busy schedule! Mari is AMAZING and gives the best cut, color and treatments! Mari is skilled, patient and so knowledgable; she's the BEST!

Loved my experience at Salon H. The hair stylist did an amazing job. Front desk was so welcoming and even after my appointment took the time to ensure I was satisfied with my visit. The only confusing part was scheduling my online appointment. You have to be very careful what services you select as that is what determines how much time is allotted for your appointment. I mistakenly did not select a blow dry after my service however they were happy and accommodating to make sure I left as I expected! Will definitely be returning soon!!

Bella cut my hair before my wedding, and I couldn’t be happier with the haircut, and the experience at Salon H.The woman at the front desk was so welcoming and friendly! Even though I did not have an appointment, I was able to be seen in just a few minutes.Bella was awesome! I only give this review 5 stars because of the absolutely lovely owner. Heidi is so sweet and fixed my hair for me when one of her stylists messed up. I had a horrible experience with this stylist. I asked for a balayage and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She said "that's going to look great, let's do it!" Shortly after leaving the salon, paying for my hair, and tipping 20%, I realized it wasn't what I wanted at all. So I called the salon back, hoping that she would say I could come back in. Instead she gaslighted me saying "sweetie you've just had a big change to your hair you should sit with it a few days" and more. Would not recommend seeing the stylist Bella. When you get your hair done you're excited to have what you want done and pay a lot of money for it, you shouldn't have to settle for something completely different and this is what she wanted me to do. So extremely grateful Heidi fixed it and was so generous.
