We took our daughter to build a bear today and she loved picking out her Halloween bear. However when we got out to the car 5 minutes after getting the bear the back has come undone and the stuffing was coming out. We went back in and the re sewed the back and it seemed fine. Then when we got home she picked him up and hugged him and it immediately came unsown again. The bear hasn’t been played with roughly only held…our daughter is only 18 months so it’s just not safe for her to keep having the bear keep opening up and the filling coming out for her to eat. We will go back once more to have it fixed but and frustrated that we have only had the bear for a few hours and it already isn’t holding up.

sam the AM, was beyond words amazing! she helped us find a price efficient bear, and got us through the whole building process so fast!! seriously an asset to the company, the other 2 amazing lady’s behind the desk on 6/26/2025 where just as amazing! creating small talk and making our experience that much better!! this store is top tier!!

There was only one woman working and she had 3 groups making bears, she was wonderful considering how crazy busy she was running back and forth between the groups. I'd give them 5 stars, but they get 4 due to being short staffed. Again not the young lady's fault as she was amazing.

For a place that’s supposed to create magical and happy experiences for people of all ages, this location feels surprisingly unwelcoming. I’ve visited a couple of times, and now, after what’s probably been a year since my last visit, I was greeted with… absolutely nothing. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt—customer service can be tough, and everyone has personal challenges outside of work—but at the end of the day, you’re at work. Ignoring customers just isn’t acceptable??? Lmao
Speaking of which, I went to the store with my boyfriend the other day to check for any Sanrio stuffed animals, and an employee actually yelled at him in front of other people for leaning against the area where the unstuffed animals are kept. Now, don’t get me wrong—I totally get that he shouldn’t have been leaning or sitting there. But there’s a much better way to communicate that, especially if you’re working with customers. Regardless of whether it was policy or something else, the delivery was just awful and incredibly rude.
After the incident, we ended up leaving the store. My boyfriend felt really apologetic, but I was just angry at how a random EMPLOYEE could speak to him the way they did. I really hope this location focuses on training employees on basic customer service skills, like kindness and empathy—two things that were clearly missing here.

about 5 employees were all up at the register chatting while not acknowledging my son who was there for a birthday bear. he’s 3 and was so excited. then once one finally walked over to help him stuff the bear, they didn’t do the whole heart routine like they used to and just seemed bothered that we were there. the girl stuffing the bear was not very patient with my son putting the heart in the bear. she wasn’t outright rude but was just extremely unfriendly. this was not the magical build-a-bear experience i remember having as a child. oh, and the “bath” area was filthy, as were the brushes. i’m heartbroken for my little boy who deserved a good experience for his birthday. i don’t think a single worker there nor the manager cares. never coming back. maybe hire kinder folks who are good with kiddos, build-a-bear.

I just visited this place and zero customer greet and person in the cashier seems they do not want us. No surprise that these places get close not because of the brand but because of people who operates with zero passion. Not a good place to go in your birthday. Really disappointed that we select this place for a small surprise.

Refused to restuff a Pokemon due to policy. I didn't want the sound box in anymore and wanted it stuffed to my likeness and they said they can't do anything because of a contract with Nintendo. Walked around the mall and then went back in and the girl was pretty rude saying that she told me that they couldn't do anything. Wasted time and gas just to be told about a policy that they didn't even show. Awful place.
